4 pointsThanks Yobnoc, I don't want a banning, that's for sure. But Ron begs a completely honest assessment, hopefully the ref's will agree. At a certain point we need to be able to say what we think is true without dancing around corners. I think what I wrote is true. Not just as Me vs. Ron but as reality vs. insanity. I might also say as in truth vs. falsehoods. We have crazy hard headwinds to sail against these days and if we are going to get to where we need to be we need to step up our game. Hopefully I'm here tomorrow.

1 pointHi guys, I'm developer of Skyduck - the new mobile app for skydivers. I'm trying to make the best app for skydivers, so I need your help. First of all I need your feedback. Now it is in open beta test and available for iOS devices (iPhone 6 and higher except iPhone SE) DOWNLOAD FROM APPSTORE What it is now? • Easy-to-use automated skydiving logbook • Jumps digital signatures • 3D visualization of jump • Detailed statistics on a graph • Vertical/horizontal speeds Blue skies, Igor

1 pointThe UK scored first in the Stupid Stakes with the Brexit vote, but the USA played its Trump card in November 2016 and leveled the score. The UK today re-took the lead by choosing Boris Johnson as PM.

1 pointOMG. You're actually a human who admits to being a human??? You're in the wrong forum.

1 point?????? Both you and Joe have a history of letting anger out on these pages. I appreciate that you have found a way to reign that in for quite a while now. But "Joe's bitches?" Now you are getting personal too. Joe makes good posts for the most part and occasionally slips up. Which is something you used to do but seem to have mostly stopped. I think we all get the point now. Maybe it's time for both of you to reflect. I'll reflect too.

1 pointIf I were going to get a color other than Black; that blue would be the one. I looked at that long and hard. But, there's so much after-market shit I can buy already painted vivid black; that I went in that direction (again). Nice bike. OK Jerry & Lisa - you can have your Corvette thread back

1 pointMorning, Rick. This may have to be my future direction or simply rebuild the 107 into a 124 or sumpin. I'm about to leave on an ~10,000 mile six-week trip. I would buy the new Harleys simply because I ride all over the country each year and there was a sense of piece of mind that I could pull into any Harley and use the warranty. As physical medical issues continue to punish the body; I may have to throttle back to riding around the state (or neighboring states) on a Road King, Wanna Go?

1 pointI guess. But at the end of the day I'm a Skydiver, right? There is only so much you can expect.

1 pointNope. Ron gets the same courtesy we all do. No PAs. I got banned for pointing out his shortcomings a while back. I do find it amusing that he claims that the "liberals" wrongly think that Trump supporting conservatives are ignorant, then posts what he posted above.

1 pointYou have got to be pulling my dingaling. That is insane even by your conspiratorial standards. When you were jumping and got a bad spot did you ascribe nefarious intentions to anyone? The pilot? The manifestor? The packers? The crapper cleaner? Were they all in cahoots, perhaps? Was it all planned long in advance to hide all tracks? Did you think it was actually a misdirection where you were used to confuse the real target? Did you think: "Yes. For sure. How else could it be explained?" You are a sad figure, Ron. You are, I think, irretrievably controlled by your delusions. And that makes you a very dangerous person. Good that you are sequestered with like minded loonies and away from the rest of us. Please stay there.

1 pointRon is trolling you by suggesting Trump is trolling you. The correct response to either is laughter. It will help to keep you from allowing the absurdity of both statements from affecting you.

1 pointI get really confused when you post this "Patriots in control" saying, and here's why. I served in the US Navy for 5 years, my wife for 6, and both of us are vehemently opposed to Trump's policies (rather, lack thereof), and were either of us to run for elected office, we would definitely fight tooth and nail to keep the Trump agenda from ever coming to fruition. So...what makes a patriot? I don't think that word means what you think it means. Patriotism is the vigorous love of one's country, which is a quality that I and my wife have, yet I think you're conflating that with blind support of all things nationalistic. It is not. Our country is not a perfect union; we are on the ever-changing path toward a more perfect union. The implication there is that we must continue to change for the better indefinitely. If not for that constant march toward a more perfect union, we'd still have slavery. Women would never have been given the right to vote. Segregation would still be legal. "Witches" could be burned at the stake. You could beat a woman so long as the rod used was no thicker than your thumb. Lynchings would be commonplace, as well as other hate crimes, and go unpunished (still have a long way to go on this one; police brutality toward minorities is much too common). So...what does patriotism mean to you?

1 pointI had also surgery in L4-5 three years ago at the age of 47 . after surgery , I have had a perfect rest for 1 month . exactly after 365 days (July) I started skydiving and up sized to 230 ( previous was 190) then in Oct I took part in KL. 2016 Basejump . it is Ok. at the moment .

1 pointI had a fusion, L4-S1, in 2001 at 36 years old. Was back in the air after a year of recovery. I did have a good surgeon though, who understood and thought I'd be okay jumping again. He was right. Don't retire if you still feel the need to be in the air. Just adjust your skydiving to reduce the risk of additional injury. I'd suggest upsizing a bit and possibly changing to a less aggressive canopy but that's just me. I'm 54 and jump a Spectre with dacron lines at a low wingloading. Super soft openings, easy landings. It's not a sports car, but I'm less likely to get hurt flying it than with any other canopy I've flown, especially if I don't stay current. If you prefer a 9 cell, there are a few out there that have a reputation for soft openings. <standard disclaimer> I am not a doctor </standard disclaimer> Check with your surgeon to be sure it's had enough time to heal. If the answer is yes, well, you know what to do

1 point"Get away with" doing a dangerous dive (specifically, a poorly planned dive with people of too low experience to do it safely) at someone's DZ. Most DZO's do not want injuries or fatalities at their DZ - and thus do not want to see such dives. You apparently "got away" with the dive because the DZO/S+TA did not yell at you for it - and because no one got injured or killed. You can see the cameraman's head swiveling back and forth to try to keep the low man and the high man in sight. Fortunately he could. You were not all on level. Then the cameraman punched a cloud, so he could no longer see the other people anyway. OK. In order: 1) Bad exit. Timing on exits is important; you can cure much of that with a mockup and practicing the exit over and over. Even 4-way teams who have been jumping together for years do this to keep that image and timing fresh in their minds. Also, when the first guy goes, everyone goes; no waiting to figure it out. It looks like the premature exit had the people in the plane thinking "what just happened? Should we go?" Answer is almost always "yes" - immediately. 2) Bad exit #2. After the guy lost his shoe, the resulting two way went head down for a while - at least ten seconds. If this was intentional, talk to those two people and make it clear that that's not OK. If it was unintentional, review how to regain stability. And emphasize that once an exit blows apart and goes head down, you do not keep flying it - you drop grips, get back on level and start approaching again. 3) Guy sitflying, and it looks like he does it TWICE. Completely inappropriate, and makes it impossible to remain on level with other people. Talk to him and tell him you won't be jumping with him if he pulls that shit again. 4) Closing speeds. At about 0:40 a guy comes screaming in from the side. If he had been closer and hit someone, you could wind up with an unconscious skydiver, or broken arms/fingers (makes it hard to pull.) His approach speed has to be MUCH slower. 5) Levels. Near breakoff the cameraman's head is all over the place; he is wisely trying to keep track of both the low guy and the other two people. But having to move your head around that much, that quickly makes it easier to lose track of people. Everyone stays on level the whole dive. 6) Punching the cloud. Makes it impossible to see other people/traffic near you. Spot so that you will not hit clouds - ESPECIALLY at breakoff/deployment altitudes. Like I said, shit happens, and we've all had well planned dives go to shit. But it looks like 1) this dive was not well planned, 2) the people on it did not have the skill to attempt a 4-way, 3) the people on it did not have the common sense to safely pull off a dive like this, 4) it went to shit and 5) your post seems to indicate you found it hilarious and not worrisome. I hope that's not the case. In any case, you got away with it; no one got hurt or grounded. Best thing to do now is learn from it and move on.
