Oh come on Billy, it's obvious these kids are just a bunch of hateful punk teeangers! I mean they're wearing MAGA hats for Christ's sake! White ones too! And after Labor Day! Joan Rivers must be turning in her grave!

A redneck couple, both bona fide rednecks, had 9 children. They went to the doctor to see about getting the husband 'fixed'.The doctor gladly started the required procedure and asked them what finally made them make the decision. Why after nine children would they choose to do this? The husband replied that they had read in a recent article that one out of every ten children being born in the United States was Mexican, and they didn't want to take a chance on having a Mexican baby because neither of them could speak Spanish.

The issue is that you probably would not know why your rates were raised. Also, at some point we will reach a stage where every insurance company is doing the same thing, and then what? A similar issue is the offer to lower your rates for car insurance if you agree to have a GPS logger permanently in your car so the company can see if you're a very cautious driver or if you regularly drive in areas where the risk of damage is low in comparison. In Germany, this is currently a voluntary agreement between the insurance company and the client to offer lower rates for lower risk, and of course clients would only agree to this if they think they can benefit. But given enough time and clients who do this, this could turn around in a few years and insurance companies might very well charge extra (even if it's a hidden raise) if you do not have one of those things in your car. I'm very cautious as to what I share on socal media and otherwise, but just me being cautious might not be enough. I might need to go with the masses and start posting pictures about a healthy lifestyle. In a few years, not posting pictures of your veggy diet and yoga classes (or not even having a social media account) might make you stand out like posting pictures from your fun weekend skydiving today.

Your AFFIs would be your instructors. Some DZs keep the same AFFI for the entire course for a student, others mix them up. Either way, whoever graduated you from AFF or whoever jumped with you the most would be 'your' instructor per se. Solo status does not mean 'okay I just need 25 jumps and I cant jump with anyone buy an instructor or a coach until then'. It's supposed to be a status where you're working on specific tasks and checking in with an instructor. The instructor is not jumping with you, but they are keeping tabs on what you're doing. Many DZs seem to take shortcuts here and once you're off AFF you're on your own, but that's not the intent of the program as written by the USPA.

Thank you for the kind replies. We are both signed up for Canopy 101 with Maxine Tate this June. For me, it will probably be the last thing I need to do for my B license. I'm really looking forward to it. I just feel so bad every time I see my lady pound in. She's resilient, but still...ouch!

Could be a lot of things. Misrigging of the canopy. One line length wrong. Gross asymmetrical loading of the harness. Like JR said give PD a call. They will tell you what to do next; most likely it will be to ship the canopy to them and they will test jump it and fix/replace as needed. If you don't want to do that, you could have your rigger check line lengths and/or have a local canopy expert do a test jump on it. But PD is the best way to get a reliable answer.

I am also an engineer of the mechanical design variety. As you no doubt know, engineers love to pick apart other's ideas. I cannot think of a valid reason against the ES method. Other critics in this thread I think are like a group of engineers out for a beer arguing about why tapping the top of a beer bottle causes it to foam up. Isn't this an easy thing to confirm? A properly oriented camera running a fast shutter speed...Does that more detailed evidence already exist? The pics you provided aren't enough to convince. The number of jumps you've done with ES is quite significant, but it is reasonable to want better visual proof. We all agree that we want the slider to stay up against the stops. Why prevent the air from doing that right away? I find this discussion very interesting, and an 11 out of 10 on the importance meter. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

I jump a Petra usually, The Airwolf is an awesome canopy. As with all Fluid canopies I've flown they build power in a unique way in the turn that is really satisfying, it feels connected to you like the Petra does but the nature of how it flies is very different The Airwolf has a lot of harness response, a lot of rear power and is extremely fast. The harness response is like that of the helix accept the recovery arc of the Wolf felt considerably bigger to me. It's not as steep trimmed as the Petra, the Fluidtech material it's made of is very rigid and the whole package is very stable Overall it's one of the most satisfying chutes to fly, one of the funnest canopy out there. It has all the usability of a freefall canopy and a ton of power and response. I'm not sure if it's the span wise line structure or what, but I found it really easy to get out and fully forward in the harness. Don't know why this is but just what I noticed It doesn't have the float in deep brakes of the Petra, but the way it builds power in the turn is a unique and addictive sensation that makes you smile! I jumped a test prototype and I absolutely want one!! Scott Roberts is doing an amazing job and bringing all sorts of ideas to skydive and ground launching parachuting, if you're at all piqued by this canopy, get one you will not be disappointed (I promise they don't pay me!)
