1 pointanother faker exposed in charged https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/jussie-smollett-indicted-on-16-felony-counts-following-chicago-attack-allegations It's appearing that this is a favorite tactic of the left these days

1 pointAgreed. -- I'm concerned if this is done to basejumper, everyone will go back to blinc, or say fuck it all. If the search function gets fucked on BJ, the site will have no purpose.

1 pointTo continue, the real issue here is that when these things happen they really do harm true accusations. That harm is amplified because it's used as a weapon to attempts to exonerate perpetrators of actual crimes and to diminish the real harm done in these crimes. So, Billy Vance and Rush I have to ask, do you wish to diminish the real crime and harm done in actual cases of assaults and hate crimes? Next, why do you feel the need to defend against actual cases of assaults and hate crimes as if it's a statement against "the right"? How about everybody just be against assaults and hate crimes and we let the system punish those who are caught for either assaulting someone or for faking an assault?

1 pointLike I said, the FOUNDING FATHERS saw a potential problem and installed the Electoral College as a check and balance measure. You're a socialist so I'm not surprised you don't agree with them. (shrugs)

1 point"Government of the PEOPLE by the PEOPLE for the PEOPLE." Not government by somewhat arbitrary lines drawn on a map

1 pointHe reversed a lot of Obama's bullshit, and now the economy is booming. And you've got Democrats left and right poo-pooing it. They know it too. As for the electoral college, it was meant to prevent small sections of the country from having more power over large sections of the country. The founding fathers knew what they were doing and wanted everyone to have fair and equal representation. Look at the map I posted earlier. Then compare that to what it would look like without the electoral college here... Now tell me, how is it fair for a few populous states to tell the rest of the country what to do? Fuck that.

1 pointMany, including myself, have found that an audible is easier to hear with earplugs. The Optima works very well in a KISS. I consider it to be internally mounted, but externally accessible.

1 pointI've seen way more outlandish statements and claims from AOC than anything rational. We could start an AOC gaffe thread, and there would be new posts nearly every day, if there were enough Republican supporters on here, but most of them are busy with their lives and can't be bothered to deal with the heavily left leaning group on here. (shrugs) And yes, I am seeing a shift in the Democratic party. The new group is making a lot of noise and challenging the old guard for control. Maybe that is welcome news for some of you. Personally I don't like it. It's going in the wrong direction. But maybe, just maybe, that's good news for the Republicans and Trump. The more left the Democrats go, and rifts develop in the party, the more it helps Trump in 2020. Remember how many counties and states Trump won. The electoral college was established for a reason, and now I'm seeing the Democratic party's efforts to try to change the law to their benefit. Everything I'm hearing on Mueller's Russian Collusion investigation is that there's nothing significant. You've already got Adam Schitt declaring that he's going to investigate the Trumps even further. They're desperate. They know they can't beat Trump on the issues. They're doing everything but throw the kitchen sink at him. And it's gonna backfire on them, bigly.

1 pointThe biggest problem in this forum is that when you ask a very specific question like you did, and even though you said you don't care about the legal issues, people can't simply answer your question. Didn't take long before the first person said, you can't pack it according to the rules. Then somebody else steps in with his opinion on the rules.....and then the fight starts. And the thing is, they might talk about the rules of different countries. Further down the road, somebody will start a brand war. 5 months later and 375 posts about all of the above, someone might actually answer your question. Good luck!

1 pointMost egregious example is the persecution of the Covington Catholic students by the media and celebrities, duped into believing a truncated video of a native American activist being mocked by the boys, some who wore MAGA hats. Of course, the truth came out later, and Hell is coming for those involved. WaPo is facing a $150m lawsuit and now CNN is being sued for what, $250m? Far left liberals are some of the most violent in-your-face aggressors when it comes to facing Trump supporters who wear their support.

1 pointI have the pebble and like others have said, it's great and you can't beat the price. As far as having to plug a cable in to adjust the alarms, it really depends on what kind of jumps you do. If you are doing a lot of different jumps and think you would constantly be needing to adjust not the best. You can set up to 20 different alarms with 9 different tones I think, so personally I just set ones at 6500, 5500, 3500, and 1000. That covers most break off altitudes I use.

1 pointThe Optima II's work flawlessly with the KISS, and I believe that the helmet already comes with an adapter for it. I have a Aon2 Pebbles as well, and it is also plenty loud. I found the lack of buttons to be a bit cumbersome as mentioned, and also disliked the fact that it went off during the climb, but maybe they have updated the firmware from that point. My only gripe about the Optima's is the LCD screen is a little fragile. I had mine for years and years, 10+, and probably about 4 of those years were on my KISS. It finally got hit with a riser on a tandem jump and it broke the LCD screen. That would be one negative with it being externally mounted the way it is on the KISS, but the trade off is the ease of adjustment versus the headache of adjustment on the Pebbles.

1 pointI have a Aon2 brilliant pebbles in mine. It works flawlessly for me. You need a 3D printed mount to fit it but the drawing is available on Aon2's website. The only annoying part is that you need to remove it from the mount every time you want to set new alarms since it use a cable and an app on your phone to setup. For the price it can't be beat though.

1 pointHello community! I did my first tandem skydive at Pacific Skydiving in Hawaii and fell in love! Came back to the main land and did 2 more tandems at Skydive Spaceland Dallas and decided that it was time! I have since then completed an additional tandem as well as solo STP / AFF 1 to 6 and absolutely love it - I also started purchasing individual components for my gear and own my own jumpsuit, gloves, goggles, G4 Cookie (pre-order) and Stella analog altimeter. My latest AFF/STP level 6 Jump from Tuesday consisted of solo exit, solo stabilization and practice pull, leg turns, docking and deployment: I am also a private pilot and can not wait to become a jumper pilot once I have my instrument and commercial rating! I love this sport and everybody who shares the same passion!

1 pointSnotty Receptionist… Yesterday I had an appointment to see a urologist for a prostate exam. Of course, I was a bit on edge either because all my friends have gone under the knife or had those pellets implanted. The waiting room was filled with patients. As I approached the receptionist's desk, I noticed that the receptionist was a large unfriendly woman who looked like a Sumo wrestler. I gave her my name. In a very loud voice, the receptionist said, "YES, I HAVE YOUR NAME HERE AS ELMER THOMPSON & YOU WANT TO SEE THE DOCTOR ABOUT IMPOTENCE, RIGHT?" All the patients in the waiting room snapped their heads around to look at me, a now very embarrassed man. But as usual, I recovered quickly, and in an equally loud voice replied, “NO, I'VE COME TO INQUIRE ABOUT A SEX CHANGE OPERATION, BUT I DON'T WANT THE SAME DOCTOR THAT DID YOURS.” The room erupted in applause! DON'T MESS WITH OLD RETIRED GUYS!!!
