RMK 3 #1 January 25, 2011 GoPros are so yesterday. Here’s an interactive 360 degree video from under a helicopter. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/01/24/360-degree-interactive-helicopter-ride_n_813393.html Put one of these cams on your chest strap and imagine the possibilities. On wingsuit video, viewers could look around at everyone in the flock and even look back to check out the girlies riding rodeo on Purple Mike..."Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to attend his classes"

antonija 0 #3 January 26, 2011 Is there a video stitching software (like the used used to make panoramic photos) that would turn 4-5 videos (shoot simultaneously in different directions, fixed geometry) into one panoramic video?I understand the need for conformity. Without a concise set of rules to follow we would probably all have to resort to common sense. -David Thorne
mccordia 74 #4 January 26, 2011 With some warping you could do this in After Effects easily..JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
antonija 0 #5 January 26, 2011 Usually the problem is that image is kind of deformed ("circularly expanded" at the edges) at wider angles and software should be able to take that into account and correct videos for this effect. At least with photos that is the biggest problem for nice panoramas. Does AE do that?I understand the need for conformity. Without a concise set of rules to follow we would probably all have to resort to common sense. -David Thorne
mccordia 74 #6 January 26, 2011 AE doesnt 'do' anything standard. Its a package with a lot of tools for (moving) image manipulation. With a lot of knowledge...would be possible yes...JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
antonija 0 #7 January 26, 2011 I know what AE is I just don't use it very often and don't know if it can reshape videos like panoramic photo tools do (automatic, fool-proof system) or will it require math and optics knowledge and whatnot to achieve similar result. I guess I could read the manual... I understand the need for conformity. Without a concise set of rules to follow we would probably all have to resort to common sense. -David Thorne
mccordia 74 #8 January 26, 2011 RTFM always works....(if everything else fails) Side comment: might be more suitable for the video forum instead of WS forum. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
