keithbar 1 #1 July 18, 2009 o.k. so I'm a fat fuck and i admit it. but i got about 50 jumps on the old raptor now. I know I've got a long way to go in getting the max out of it but. getting avg in the high 70's low 80's all the time. without buying a larger suit or loosing a ton of weight. I'm just guessing here but thinking somewhere in the high 50's or low 60's might be all I can ever hope for. is that way out of the range you want for base on a flock? just curious.i have on occasion been accused of pulling low . My response. Naw I wasn't low I'm just such a big guy I look closer than I really am .
Deniq 0 #2 July 18, 2009 From my formation expirience the comfortable fallrate for participants with different skill level is about 90-100 kmh (56-62 mph).
monkycndo 0 #3 July 18, 2009 I have been flying base a bit more lately and it seems that a comfortable rate for the flock has been low to mid 60s. That is with me in a Ghost at 5'-8", 180#. Knowing your weight and at that fallrate, I bet you would be smokin' fast forward. Sounds like fun. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
BenediktDE 2 #4 July 22, 2009 Most flocks I've flown in were between 60 and short under 70mph. Hey, we should found a "freefall gifted guys flock"! In that we could fly the same fallrate with the forward speed we like. ;)For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong.
