mikerav 0 #1 November 12, 2003 SELECTED PARACHUTE REPORTS PART TWO OF THREE: MORE DTIC PARACHUTE REPORTS By Michael Ravnitzky, mikerav@mindspring.com Here are some selected parachute-related reports from the last ten years. It is only a small selection taken from a much larger list. Following that are some older reports that were not public but which have recently become available. To get a copy of any of these reports, just send a letter to: Defense Technical Information Center Attn: DTIC-RSM [Kelly D. Akers, FOIA Manager] 8725 John J. Kingman Road, Suite 0944 Fort Belvoir, VA 22060-6128 In your letter, you should say that you agree you will pay up to some amount (for example "up to $30 for costs associated with the request". They will eventually tell you if it will cost more, or less, than that amount and you can decide if you wish to continue. Don’t send any payment with your request. In your request tell them whether you work for a company, or if you are asking as a private individual, or a student or instructor at a school. If you are a private individual or connected with a school and you are asking for only one or two reports, there probably won’t be any charge. DTIC supplies reports in paper form or microfische form; microfische will be less expensive. Some of the older reports are marked as "secret" or "confidential". For these reports, your letter can ask the office to review them to see if they can now be released. If you have any questions, you can drop me a note. ================= AD B269297, Trade Study: Off-Site Vs. On-Site Recovery, March 1988, 18 pp., United Technologies Corp.
