BlindBrick 0 #1 January 19, 2007 How much range of motion do you have in your legs once a Mach 1 is fully buttoned up? I ask because my regular jumpship is a narrow body 182, and I'm so big that I don't have enough room to put on regular booties. So I don't see how it'd be possible to finish suiting up in flight. Given that, I need to be ready to go as I board the plane, but again, to fit in a full load, I need to be able to bring my legs up past a 45 degree angle at the knees. -Blind"If you end up in an alligator's jaws, naked, you probably did something to deserve it." voodew1 0 #2 January 19, 2007 It really shouldn't be a problem in any suit -- kind of uncomfortable but I have jumped lots of different suits out of a 182 with out a problem Yes you need to have the legs zipped before boarding the plane The pimp hand is powdered up ... say something stupid
BlindBrick 0 #3 January 19, 2007 Sweet, I was afraid I was going to have to go with some type of hybrid bastard, like a mach 1 top mated to a modified Prodigy bottom. That thrills me since I hate the fact that I can't cutaway the Prodigy's legwing to run out my landings. -Blind"If you end up in an alligator's jaws, naked, you probably did something to deserve it." Birdman is the only one with that option. What you need is a turbine (my first 900ish jumps were from a 182 or 206) The pimp hand is powdered up ... say something stupid

Professor 0 #6 January 19, 2007 Quote I hate the fact that I can't cutaway the Prodigy's legwing to run out my landings. You really shouldn't need too. The Prodigy has a wide enough leg stance that you should be able to do plenty of running with it fully hooked up. I fly my Prodigy with a Velo at 2.2 and have never had any trouble running out the landing with my leg wing in place. Ted Like a giddy school girl. I'm a fat guy with short legs, I've already got the deck stacked against me enough! -Blind"If you end up in an alligator's jaws, naked, you probably did something to deserve it." skyjumpsteve 0 #9 January 19, 2007 John, no issues at all with a M1 in a 182. It is really easy to get on (and off under canopy). PhoenixRising and I did our first 2 flights with our new Mach's from a 182 and had no problems at all. Both loads we did had 2 other jumpers as well. I hated climbing out of the 182 but that was mostly because I hadn't done it in about 10 years!
SCARYPERRY 0 #10 January 21, 2007 unzip the legs, remove booties, use the magnets to hold legs up!!!! Or....pull leg wing over chest, it will give you all the leg you need and wind/forward speed will keep in placeOnly he can be happy, who can make his the present hour, for today he has lived
