SkyAnt 0 #1 October 23, 2003 Should I spend the extra dough on the pro track now? Im doing rel for the time being. When I get into freeflying I'll by a second audible then, and I was thinking I would just get the pro dytter or similar first like most people seem to. In the short term I am only using a cheap helmet also (gath). "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." skybytch 273 #2 October 23, 2003 Depends on if you care about the data features or not. If you just want something to beep at you why spend the extra money on something that has features you won't use?
AggieDave 6 #3 October 23, 2003 Quotewhy spend the extra money on something that has features you won't use? You say that, but I've seen quite a few folks who bought a Pro-Track without really wanting to get all the extra features, but loved it once they had it and use the features all the time. For the beginning FFer, I think it can be a great tool when learning, since you can see what your average fallrate is and see if it is consistant over a number of jumps. Then they know if they're averaging about what they should for fall rate to beable to jump with groups with no problem.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." sducoach 0 #4 October 23, 2003 I've been using a Pro Track for three years or so and I love it simply because when you have a busy day there's no checking with manifest (and you do NOT want to ask or manifest lady questions like that!) on loads. I use the log book function all the time. But of course, I'm old and forgetful........... Blues, I think. J.E.James 4:
