saly 0 #28 December 8, 2006 Ag shame i hav already started the NON rain dance proceedings Partly cloudy with a 60% chance of thunderstorms forcast for the whole weekend. Whats worse, waiting for a winsuit to be delivered or having a wingsuit in hands watching cloud and rain? --------------------------------------------- If you don't have wings you will never fly

Buried 0 #36 December 8, 2006 QuoteReal curious how the big wings behave at pulltime... Seems like a lot of fabric... on the few flights i did on the prototype, i never had any issue pulling, not even line twists. The way to deal with it would be the same way you'd deal with a vampire - reach for middle of BOC and slide hand out. it's also not just straight back, but more of an around cupping action. Buried 0 #37 December 8, 2006 nice pics! and congrats on the suit. interesting comparison. i'd like to see it overlayed against a v1 or v2. remember the WIDE leg stance Where is my fizzy-lifting drink?
Zeemax 0 #38 December 9, 2006 Does i have any kind of semi rigid ribs in the wings? If not, could you take a picture where you pull the wings of the BM suit tight as the ribs restrict it while on the floor like that, giving the impression that they might be a lot smaller. Not a dig, and for sure the mach1 has giant wings, just wondered how much bigger.Phoenix Fly - High performance wingsuits for skydiving and BASE Performance Designs - Simply brilliant canopies

pierre3636 0 #40 December 11, 2006 ok im going to try and stay objective but ill probably struggle. As if cursed the weather sucked all weekend and i only got to jump the suit once. its definately a power house, the thing really wants to fly. i was surprised at the range and how quickly it shoots forward as soon as you give a bit of legs (i was flying relative to a s3). i messed around on the jump doing 2 practise touches, floating up, dropping down - kind of playing around with the range - from 6k - 4k i tried to push a little harder and i managed a 47mph decent rate, covering what felt like nice distance. finding the hacky does take a bit of concentration but its not as bad as it feels when you try on the ground. like any new suit, you just have to get comfortable with it. from my experience in flying big suits i truly believe that this is the next step. i predict that the other companies will soon come out with bigger suits. In saying that i dont really think anyone with less than a 100 or 150 big suit ie V1/V2/S3s or S6 should consider this wing suit. its a lot of power. looks like we will have to wait another week for some better stats - sorry - damn global warming - will post some more in air shots soon. ps. no ribs or maylar - just double thick cells - which are great, you can once again stuff your wing suit in a parabag without having to cringe when someone throws a bag or rig on top of urs ~ time is ~ time was ~ times past ~
skyjumpsteve 0 #41 December 11, 2006 I have about 100 total WS jumps and did about 15 on the Mach-1 and absolutely loved it. No problems at all at pull time or with controlling the suit. Prior to that all my flights were on a GTI or another Tony suit the "Acrobat". I did do a bunch of 1 on 1 training jumps with Jeff N. which gave me the confidence to give the Mach-1 a try....and now I am definitely glad I did. The suit is awesome and mine should be here soon! In max flight not flocking mode The pimp hand is powdered up ... say something stupid
 skyjumpsteve 0 #43 December 12, 2006 I am probably not the best person to comment because I have not flown other high end suits...but I think the Mach-1 was phenomenally easy to fly. After two full days of jumping it my arms were a little sore but during the jumps it did not take a tremendous amount of strength or effort to max it out. I think you will start seeing a lot of 'em real soon!
 pierre3636 0 #44 December 12, 2006 QuoteWhat is the arm pressure like on the Mach 1????
