hjumper33 0 #3 November 13, 2006 Im usually in the lower 60s, with one or two in the upper 50s. I havent gotten to jump with a GPS so I cant say how accurate those are because they come from my protrack. Im about 6'1 195 otd.

Tornolf 0 #5 November 13, 2006 6'0 160lbs geared up Once I tuned it in I was getting high 40's usually. There were several times where my average was down to 41-43, but that only happened on jumps from 9.5-10k instead of 13-14k. Search for some old threads on body position for flying that suit. I remember there was one thread that gave great tips. Once I read it and experimented a little, I was finally able to consistantly do high 40's when flying for max time. Edit: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=733258 LouDiamond's first post in that thread helped me out tons in flying the suit.A waddling elephant seal is the cutest thing in the entire world. -TJ

Jump from 6K and fly in a straightline until opening the average vertical speed will be even lower. Kris.

Somewhere in the vicinity of 48mph average. I don't trust instantaneous Protrack speeds, but averages are pretty accurate... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. verticalflyer 11 #8 November 15, 2006 700 wingsuit jumos and about 200 on a S1, average once dialled in was 48mph lows 42-44, pretty cosistent speed if you make nice flat turns without too much bank and remember to really work the arms and drop the knees very slightly. Great suit lots of fun, now fly GS1 and V1, too many toys so little time. Especially since tearing my cartiledge :( currently awaiting key hole surgery before returning in April. Cheers FraserDont just talk about it, Do it!
hjumper33 0 #9 December 2, 2006 Thanks to those who chimed in on the original post. Putting a little bend in my legs helped a ton with vertical speed as did leaning over and putting a little bit of curve in my back. Dropped down to 53 average on my best jump today with some deffinate room for improvement in stability.
