Altimeters in cargo planes

Recommended Posts

following an incident where i had to check in my rig for a flight (damn french police woman, story will follow)...

if my alti spends the flight in an unpressurized cabin, can it break ?
i mean, if it will go all the way up to 50,000 ft and back, will it stay accurate?

i dont know what its allowed operational height interval..

thanks

What plane do you think had an unpressurized cargo area?

All modern commercial jets have a pressurized cargo area.
People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

if you pass by paris, they will never let you take your rig in cabin. the consider it as Cat IV weapon (now... what is cat IV ?)
don't think your alti should suffer....

now you tell me ... [:/]
i'm yet to post my experiences there (CDG airport), but its not the "we wont allow it" part that made me mad, its the stupid police woman who replied with "its my airport and my rules!" when i asked her to check the rulebook...

and as for the alti, don't know why, i wasnt sure the cargo area is pressurized too...

thanks

most of the people there are what they call "emploi jeunes", young people who don't have a job, so they give them some professionnal experience with very low wages (that's how they get lower unemployment statistics), and most "emplois-jeunes" usually don't give a f... about their jobs... Otherwise, due to racism problems, they also have to employ many "non-caucasian type" people, which are more than happy to have some responsability and to give shit to people, and last but not least, the typical frustrated security agent, who can decide what goes in or not in the plane. And it's just his decision, nno matter what. A group of fellow skydivers had the same experience going to russia via CDG. CDG is a skydiver-non-friendly airport. In other european airports, had sometimes a few questions, sometimes even considered as a hero (in ZRH) B|
