Waldschrat 0 #1 August 14, 2006 My V1 needs repair in the factory, because the right armwing is damaged. (They must exchange the wing) I have send the suit to the factory for ca. 8 weeks. My questions are: Have you also a wingsuit in factory-repair in the past? How long does ist goes bevor your suit cam back? Wich suit was it? What was damaged? Many thanks waldschrat
Nidez 0 #2 August 14, 2006 I had your problem last year, i broke the left wing of my V-1 during exit due to a jam between the wing and the plane door. Maybe i'm a bit lucky 'cause UncleCharlie lives not far from me and i gave him the suit. It tooks about 1 month to reach the factory, re-build the wing and return back. just send a P.Message to Unclecharlie to ask about your suit, i'm shure he will help !Marco "Pazzo" Pistolesi pistolesi.marco(at)gmail.com
Costyn 1 #3 August 14, 2006 I had to send my S3S back to Bird-Man about a month back because there was a tear in the wing. I'm not sure of the cause, but probably my own fault. The deflector had probably gotten caught behind something and made a rip. I sent it to the Bird-Man factory and I got it back 4 weeks later, which I thought was a reasonable time. piisfish 140 #4 August 14, 2006 I brought my S-Fly (1st generation) to Loic because the fabric was tearing apart (no double stitching, no hemming) when we met first time in Lapalisse. Received a brand new suit 4 seconds later. scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
Tonto 1 #5 August 14, 2006 I once sent a suit back to the manufacturer, and although the cost of repair was OK, and I had it back within 6 weeks (I live in Africa..) since then I have managed to get riggers here to do all repairs. The logic is simple. If the manufacturer is going to replace the wing, then a local rigger CAN'T screw it up beyond trying. They've since managed everything from rib replacement to replacing booties or thumb loops etc. What do you have to lose? tIt's the year of the Pig. Waldschrat 0 #6 August 14, 2006 I have questioned three experienced Riggers in germany. A Rigger is PFI and dealer for phoenix-fly from this three. She could not fix the damage. causation for the damage: Bad exit and get stucked on the video step from a DO28.

unclecharlie95 3 #8 August 14, 2006 Hi Holm, Feel free to PM or email me: james@phoenix-fly.com with questions Your suit is repaired and already on its way back to you. Unfortunately your repair coincided with the factory summer holiday, so it took longer than normal. Long flights, JBASEstore.it
