KT22 0 #1 July 28, 2006 Please post here if you have ever actually had a premature opening in a wingsuit flight with a velcro rig. Mine works fine, I have good velcro. Just wondering if this is a common occurence or a theoretical one. thanks very much frank

If someone have actually had a horseshoe in BASE, they couldn't post here. unclecharlie95 3 #3 July 28, 2006 It has already happened. Luckily the PC came out the pouch. There has been more than one case of velcro rigs causing prematures with ws. IMO spend the $ and get a pin rig. The high speed reletive wind travelling over your back makes a velcro rig unsuitable. JBASEstore.it

Actually, there is a poster here (who coincidentally shares your first name) who has had more than one self-clearing horseshoe on BASE jumps, from wingsuit flight.-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com

TomAiello 26 #6 July 30, 2006 QuotePlease post here if you have ever actually had a premature opening in a wingsuit flight with a velcro rig. Mine works fine, I have good velcro. Um, is that from your vast experience (stated by you as 2 wingsuit flights in this post?). Also, you should note that virtually all of your other 6 logins are still working in this forum. Why not use one of them, instead of creating a new one, yet again?-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com
KT22 0 #7 July 31, 2006 ??? six logins? WTF? as for my experience while not "vast" is more than 2 flights, I have many WS flights with Velcro, mostly helicopter jumps and hot air balloons and other alternative type skydives, not exactly base jumps, but enough to share the fact that mine seems to work fine, of course, if I did not wonder about opening early at all, I would not have signed up and inquired within these forums. TomAiello 26 #8 July 31, 2006 Quote??? six logins? WTF? Please refer to this announcement regarding the creation of multiple accounts. The list of accounts you have created, all posting from the same IP address, and all being created one after the other, as the last one gets banned for various violations of the forum rules is as follows (not necessarily in order): 1) 914 2) brodericksACE 3) JTHolmesJR 4) permbanned1 5) scotty2x 6) KT22 7) jtholmes 8) SLCBASE 9) way2cool And here I thought we were actually having a fairly productive PM discussion about this... I'll give you one more shot on this. What do you say you go back to the one account we agreed on? Sound ok?-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com
KT22 0 #9 July 31, 2006 Wow, I stand corrected. 6 is the exact number. three of those had nothing to do with me. that leaves 6 names. 6 logins, 5 permanently banned. I never once used jtholmes, thought it never actually registered. but I tried logging in just now and apparently and it is not banned, so, sure you have a deal. I will be jtholmes. how suitable. you must let Clif Huckstable back in too, his list of alternate logins is long, but distinguished. Clifhuckstable: a tremendous loss to the computer community.
