mccordia 74 #1 January 3, 2006 The Xmas boogie at Empuria Brava was wonderfull. I was there to pollish up on my freeflying, but couldnt resist the temptation. Got to make a few cool wingsuit jumps with David, Lee, Saskia, Jullien and Dimitri, and had great fun. Sadly I was the only one with video (whats wrong with people these days) but I edited it into a short video that I'll post later this week (need to encode and upload it, btw is skydivingmovies.com down?). David flying his white V1 towards the DZ in the bright sunlight was so beautifull...wish I had a stills cam on that jump. Both Saskia and David took some really cool photo's. She already posted a few in the 'events' forum, but would be cool if she could also post a few here. Aside from a few far-away shots and video frame-grabs I've never really had any good high-res pics of myself...the pics they took made up for that BIGTIME! I'm kinda glad we didn't have video for the second one though, it went a little wrong... The111 1 #4 January 3, 2006 Umm, if this is a wingsuit jump, how is he able to wave his entire left arm (without a wing attached to it) in front of his face prior to pulling? The only thing I can think of is maybe he's jumping a Prodigy, but even then I didn't think the wing could slide down your arm that far. mccordia 74 #6 January 3, 2006 Also saw the Matter Beginner Suit at the boogie. Looked quite nice. Like a hybrid of a tracking suit and an S-Fly.. Also a 2 part suit (like prodigy and acces) And no grippers on the arms like prodigy, but a wingshaped sleeve that inflates..quite a nice conceptJC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? LouDiamond 1 #7 January 3, 2006 The thing that bothers me the most about that video is the fact that the jumper first flys 90 degrees to the direction of flight of the other jumpers right at break off time, and continues on to complete a 180 before having his "other" problem. That's exactly the kind of flying you don't want happening even during a small flock. The matter suit you're talking about is called the tracer track suit.
