Skyla Grace Burns was born at 0126 on 8 Dec. and was 7 1/4lbs, 20.in long, and a full head of flaxon hair. Ivy and Skyla are doing fine, however both are recovering from infections after a difficult natural birth. Skyla has been in the NICU since thursday lunchtime for some bloody fluid she took in during the birth. her breathing is returning to normal and she will be on antibiotics for the next week. They both will be fine, but just gotta get these germs out of them both. Ivy and I are hoping that we both can be home by next weekend, but that is still up in the air at this time. I will try to post a picture or two in the next few days, but theres no internet at the hospital so i can only do it when i come home to feed the chipperdog. Thank you all very much, all your words are so appriciated I know ill never be able to convey my thanks. We love you all, and ill update things soon.
