Bowie 0 #1 July 21, 2005 Just got 2 flights on my new suit today. First flight trying to fly like my old S3 got 2 min. clean from 12500 ft. Had a great forward speed but wasen´t able to find the sweet spot. Felt a lot of lift on the leg wing. second jump planned to make a fly by on a tandem while adjusting the distance to the tandem i was able to feel the Big range of speed both vertical and horizontally i never made such a slow tandem buzz before .. Very Nice Had 2,10 min on this jump deploying in 3500 ft. What i like about the suit: Very easy to fly, It feels a littel different to turn cant explain what but it kind if looses a littel lift on the wing you are turning to. I think i maybe was dropping my arm a littel too much will try to steer with my feets next time. Almost no difference when not holding grippers. Thats where i felt the ribs in the wing So flying is better than my S3 What i don´t like about the suit Sitting 5 people in a C182 with those stiff wings is NOT funny. Also when bending in your hips the new Arm wing handel goes loose (Happened on both flights).I think they are too BIG and clumsy. (Want my welcro back) And last the Front air deflectors look weird and kind of cheap. Had a lot of questions about those today from vuffos. Sorry for my bad spelling BoBo Wienberg vimeo.com/bowienberg

(Want my welcro back) Give the suit time to break in a little bit, the materials are still new and stiff. After a few flights you won't even notice them. Quote the Front air deflectors look weird and kind of cheap Those weird looking deflectors as you call them help increase the performance of the wing significantly. A bit of knowledge that was gained from the wind tunnel testing. Give it a few more flights and you'll find your "new" sweet spot and your face will start hurting from all the smiling you'll be doing"It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
Bowie 0 #4 July 22, 2005 Hi Lou I was also just talking about my first impression. The suit is flying very well, already on my second jump i was improving a lot. And i am already Smiling from ear to ear.. The wing cut handles did loosen on both flights in the plane. So so far it is a problem in a tight littel Cessna. Still the wing deflectors look in a way that people take notice of. Newer had so many questions about those on my S3. I like the stability of the suit, just don't like to worry about my wings loosening in flight. Will put 5-10 jumps on it this weekend, maybe go jump with Jari for a few jumps.. mccordia 74 #5 July 22, 2005 I just shook hands with a friendly DHL man, and took a big package from his hands. And after that heavily embarased myself before my neighbours, who spotted me through the kitchen window while I was hopping around my house wearing my new S3S. I was quite happy to see the differences between the normal S3 and this suit. Especialy in construction, this feels much more sturdy and durable. On the pictures I saw, I didn't realy notice a big difference with the normal S3, but up close, it's realy a completely different suit. I can't wait to take it up 'for a spin' If the weather cooperates, the first flight will be a chopper jump in Germany tomorrow...JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? Bowie 0 #6 July 22, 2005 Congrats Did you find the beer can holders?? looking forward to hear your thoughts about the flight. But i warn you it is flying like a dream. Prepare to get Airgasem. BoBo Wienberg vimeo.com/bowienberg
mccordia 74 #7 July 22, 2005 QuoteDid you find the beer can holders?? I already thought of a mod. for the suit. Open up the seem on the bottom of the wing, and change it for a zipper. That way all the chambers in the wing could be filled up with beer-cans, or even wine-bottles, and we'd have ourselves a flying vending/drinking-machine But I'll stick to normal jumping for now...can't wait...JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
