Unstable 9 #1 October 9, 2003 Does anybody know if the Delux Spacer Foam Backpad is available as an option on the Javelin, or is it available on the Odyssey only? I'm finding several example of contradicting information about this online and on different dealer sites.... If any body has some info on this, i would really appreiciate it.... skybytch 273 #2 October 9, 2003 According to the newest Javelin and Odyssey order forms I downloaded from Sunpath's website a couple of days ago the Spacer Foam backpad is available on both the Odyssey and the Javelin. Cost is US$100 additional.
Unstable 9 #3 October 9, 2003 Yeah i saw that - but what confuses me is that when SP first introduced the new material, their bullitin had stated that it was an option for the Odyssey only..... maybe i should give them a call later today and see whats up......=========Shaun ==========
diablopilot 2 #4 October 9, 2003 It is avaliable on both rigs. (Javelin and Javelin Odyssey) They are the same rig with the exception of the Odyssey having the cut in laterals, and the avaliability of the "Funky Fabrics" (Diamond Back, and Houndstooth) It's just marketing.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. johnny1488 1 #6 October 11, 2003 I havent jumped a new javelin that isnt an odyssey, but I jumped a 99 or 00 jav the same size as my odyssey and mine is 10x more comfortable. Are the thicker legpads, oeitker clamps and longer riser covers on the regular javelin? Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" If it's YOUR container fit to your body, your not going to grab a rig at random and have a fair evaluation for comfort. If a rig fits properly and is sized accordingly, this won't be a problem.=========Shaun ==========
mouth 0 #10 October 13, 2003 I bought the Odyssey with the spacer foam and LOVE the comfort of it. It is so amazing how well the foam makes the rig rest on your body. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit. If I'm going to be wearing my rig up to 4 hours on a given saturday, $100 for this comfort is nothing. Thanks for the advice, your the first person i've talked to who actually has used the spacer foam... sds=========Shaun ==========
