I didn't see even 1 wingsuit flyer in Perris.....

Recommended Posts

Well, you saw me, although I didn't actually fly my wingsuit there! Also, didn't you see JP? And there was Greeny who got 30 plus seconds on a cloud base hop and pop. And there was Gabriel from Mexico who was swooping with Jim Slaton, and I think he might have put his first jump on his V1.

I saw a few people that have jumped a wingsuit, that doesn't count. :P

So tell me Craig, did you ever see anyone in a wingsuit while you were there for the 2 weeks straight?

And how many if you did?

What's your point?

There are plenty of W/S pilots here, however the comunity of jumpers is so large that they get thined out. You were here durring an event, so several regulars were occupied with that. Shoulda been here yesterday. 5 and 6 ways going up durring the day, and I didn't even jump.

You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

My point is, with a large DZ such as Perris there should be some flocking going on to some extent.
It would be great to see a school be established by someone who is there on a regular basis. ;)

Well, I was on the wait - list and not enough people dropped out.

Fernado had some small ways going on for those people, sorry you missed out.

I can do small ways without traveling 2000 miles!

It's my fault, I got the invite and procrastinated until too late.

Yeah, however local suport of said school would be needed. While local dropzones have been more than helpful, some local jumpers have been antagonistic. Wears a person dow to be sucked into politics constantly, sometimes ya just wanna jump.

Gotdammit Ed I was doin' so good at stay'in out of this one too Man..... but oh no ya had to go there. Wasn't I helpful with advice to you in the past in regards to getting more takers on your BMI course down here? Haven't I stated that we needed a local BMI presence in these forums?

Nope I get labelled the antagonator (tm). Dammit that ain't right MAN!

NNNNNNNNNNn Kay. I got a challenge for you pencil heads. I will stay clear of, that is me and my one man antagonistic rhetoric parade, from said dropzone for the full calender year ( with the exception of three summer Saturdays from the afternoon till sunset during which I promise to keep my opinions to my nasty self) so that there may be established a full time regularly accessible wingsuit instructor school, again on said dropzone. I'm not talking about instructors gotta be there everyday just that students shouldn't have to wait months for a first flight course.

Keep in mind this may take effort...... even a modicum of any effort to get the ball rolling on the part of those interested in doing this establishing. Something that is been ethereal so far. But I promise not to sabotage any of these efforts in action or words.

Now for the put your money where your mouth part: If you fail to succeed within a calendar year you will pony up to me a nice new wingsuit . This last gesture should not be construed as GREED on my part...... NO- NO! It will only be a means to for me to train up a nice new fresh squadron of upcoming wingsuit students........ The ones existing factory instructors failed to train with their non-existing instructor course the previous calendar year.

Any takers? Any instructors up to this challenge? Anybody willing to put up the required amount of effort?

Or is this tread another Fugazi?

About this challenge.....

if there are any takers I need to know soon, as you all are aware that the summer season is starting soon, a couple weeks from now I'll be on the dropzone...... I'll have a few extra suits...... one thing will lead to another....... someone who has been wingsuit curious will walk up, admire the suits of the flock, notice the glee on their faces.

Or worse come up with sad, sad tale of not having anyone to instruct them. We size them up, they ask questions, we ask questions..... Then.....

Bamm!

Then its too late and they are already hooked on the crack !

You missed.

So like I said let me know if there are any serious takers on the Perris certified wingsuit school . If not we can all get back to bitching and moaning about little kingdoms and things that mean nothing to the overall wingsuit experience....... Oh and we'll see some of you at the Perris memorial boogie.

Fly high and avoid unplanned contact with the Otter!

That wasn't politics. That was a challenge.

Politics would be , for example, accusing someone of operating unsafely in the presence of first flighters despite hours of video verifying this isn't true. Or saying that someone does something that just doesn't happen in order to paint a negative picture of the individual or group.

Using the excuse that something someone else does or has done in the past has and will keep you from doing your best and contributing what you can, thats politics........ and a cop-out.

Before this post / tread gets locked or deleted lets just say that any effort by anyone that truelly is positive for wingsuits as far as instruction/ promotional events would be fully supported by me and everyone I know that flocks.

Politics will be greeted with more counter-politics as per the current status quo.
