jimmyh 0 #1 March 8, 2005 I just put Julian's 60 second sugarglider jump from Schmell in Norway on my website: www.jimmyhalliday.com It'll take a moment to load. I believe there was a question about the length of the jump on an earlier thread as I chopped it up a bit in RADIX. I don't know since I don't jump wingsuits yet; is that flight impressive? Or is it run of the mill nowadays? enjoy, jimmy

bodypilot1 0 #4 March 8, 2005 QuoteWent there, chose videos, nothing clickable showed up. The 2 videos he has on there will show up after the page loads all the way. Just click the little arrow in the bottom left corner of the little screen. Side note: You gonna be around this weekend to do some wingsuit jumps when I come to Byron for Darlene's benefit fund raiser? Keepin' it safe! maretus 0 #5 March 8, 2005 Quote I don't know since I don't jump wingsuits yet; is that flight impressive? Or is it run of the mill nowadays? enjoy, jimmy Thanks for vid bro, very nice flight indeed. 60 secs from that exit (from my point of view) in any case is very impressive indeed but the more important thing in WS BASE obviously is the distance he covers. Were did he land ? Did he fly to the camping area ? Petter B has flown from that same exit to the camping area but don't know the FF time he got on that jump. I've seen one underweighted finnish BMCI pull some 45 second flights from exits 4 and 5 with S3 but he wasn't going for hang time, he was going for distance. But it's just what you are aiming at. Still, from my point of view, in WS base it's the distance that matters. Obviously the delay is easier to measure of course. But any case, mighty good flight there !http://www.ufufreefly.com
unclecharlie95 3 #6 March 8, 2005 a 60sec from smelly is nice, but like someone already posted, it all depends on the glide ;) How long was his canopy ride btw? In global terms, people are doing 50+sec in track pants these days (ok from more than 3k) and WS is on the door of 2mins (but you need a glide 2.5+ to get the tude at these objects)BASEstore.it
mariavon 0 #7 March 8, 2005 Hi there all, Aussie Scatty and I both had sweet flights that day. I managed to fly to right over my tent before i pulled. Think i could have gone further, but pulled a little early because i forgot to swap my 32 pilot chute, we were in a hurry trying to bumb a lift when the ferry arrived. Wasn't open very low, had time to undo both booties and arm zips and admire my sexy little tent again. Its very cool to not have to pay for the boat ride back. Work it out, twice the jumps if youre short on mooola in Norway That flight was for Shaun Smith, the man who concieved this beast. beware the salty water. jools (pronounced G - jii is the force that makes you fly!) unclecharlie95 3 #10 March 8, 2005 I use a Garmin Etrex Vista. Once setup you just have to turn it on - yes, just one button to press The setup requires a little bit of time though Best to find a geek and borrow theirs! You gonna be in Norway this summer?BASEstore.it
jimmyh 0 #11 March 8, 2005 Jools, the reason you didn't go further or throw one of those barrel rolls before you dumped was because the whole place was grounded due to weather, all eyes were on you making sure were safe, and you didn't want to get in trouble, remember? I still say you should have at least thrown the barrel roll. -jimmy
