Blahr 0 #1 October 1, 2003 Anyone fly with a Bonehead Havoc? If so, can you comfortably open it up once you are under canopy or will the full face catch too much air for comfort?
hottamaly 1 #2 October 1, 2003 I havn't flown one but I would think that if you do ratical flying or swooping, it might be bothersome. But if you just do normal flying and approches, it should be no different than any other full face (with lens that opens). IMHO Skydiving gave me a reason to live I'm not afraid of what I'll miss when I die...I'm afraid of what I'll miss as I live
beowulf 1 #3 October 1, 2003 I have a Havoc and I have never felt all that comfortable with the face open under canopy. I always leave it down. I am pretty used to it being down now. It's a pretty big helmet.
MrHixxx 0 #4 October 1, 2003 I have one. I just fly with the faceshield down, because I prefer the full protection of the helmet in case it is needed. Gadget 0 #5 October 1, 2003 I use a havok and you can put the visor up and fly it whitout a problem.Only thing is that your sidewaysvision is a little bit blocked by the visor but not in a bad wayIf people from Poland are called Poles, why aren't people from Holland called Holes??? TheMonkey 0 #6 October 1, 2003 Quotesidewaysvision is a little bit blocked by the visor but not in a bad way i'm confused as to how your peripheral vision being blocked can be anything but bad, especially when under canopy.... --------------------- Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience! mr2mk1g 10 #7 October 2, 2003 you look like a Stormtrooper in one. Still trying to figure out if thats a good or bad thing
Amazon 7 #8 October 2, 2003 I got to jump one a few months ago...I had no problem with the ratchet relief on top of the helmet... WITH my gloves on even. I have had a problem with several other full face helmets with the silly little button on the front like the Z-1. I did not see the air coming in to be an issue at all. but I did wear a pair of goggles under the full face anyway. I will be buying one the next time I have a few extra dollars that are not earmarked for some stupid bill or another. Jeanne
darkwing 5 #9 October 2, 2003 I have over 500 jumps on my Bonehead Havok. Sometimes I open it up, sometimes I don't. There are visibility tradeoffs either way. I do prefer the extra protection of having it down though. -- Jeff My Skydiving History
