ManBird 0 #1 August 10, 2004 Did a two-way this morning before work. It was freaking awesome. I did a full float exit from one side of the balloon and my friend exited facing outward on the other side. I went head low for a bit as I was trying to film him (which had me putting my chest out). Still managed to get 35s in 2700' of freefall -- not too bad. Opened right over where we launched the balloon. Surprisingly enough, all six on that load landed back at the launch site (wingsuit or not). My friend, Jared, was borrowing my GTi. It was his sixth wingsuit jump and he got 30s in a 2,200' freefall (and he had a better exit than I did). It freaking rocked. I love crap like this."¯"`-._.-¯) ManBird (¯-._.-´"¯" Click

TALONSKY 0 #3 August 10, 2004 That is so cool. I wish I could have afforded to go with you guys. You will have to burn me a copy of that jump and all the base jumps you did. Glad to hear everything went great. Do you know if the guy with the balloon would be up for doing it again later? Kirk
ManBird 0 #4 August 10, 2004 Yeah. I think they were talking about making it a monthly event for the summer. So, maybe once or twice more this year. It pretty much needs to be during the week, as they do a lot of tours on the weekend. Jared's the LO. The video wasn't super. Jared left a hair late or I left a hair early. Then he went straight for a bit and I turned right almost immediately, so he's not in frame for most of the jump. But we have a better exit for next time. Man, I wish I got the landings on video (including mine). I habitually shut my camera off under canopy. It was fun swooping in to that farm. Jared tore it up on a Sabre 150, Darren had a very ballsy obstacle-ridden swoop, and Zaz flipped. Fun stuff. Didn't see Jeff's or Steph's... I was already packing in a failed attempt to do a second jump."¯"`-._.-¯) ManBird (¯-._.-´"¯" Click
CanuckInUSA 0 #5 August 10, 2004 To date my most awesome jump was my 666th. A wingsuit jump out of a hot air balloon. I exited at 5400 feet, and 30 seconds later (using a GTi) I initiated my deployment at 2500 feet and according to my ProTrack was fully open by 2100. Awesome jump I tell you. But that's also because I've yet to venture into the BASE environment with a wingsuit. I'm not ready yet for this sort of devilry, but it's on my list of things to do. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Suprised more wingsuiters didn't take advantage of his services back in December but more deffinatly should if you are at the wingsuit boogie in october, I will. blair700 0 #8 August 13, 2004 Cool man, I got my first wingsuit balloon jump last Saturday evening. Got out at 2800' and was open at 1200, protrack said 19 seconds of ff but video shows more like 16. Was cool but my exit was not as clean as I'd have liked, funny how I was much better the first time off the tower. Great stuff!!! Later Blair
