gus 1 #1 August 6, 2004 After more than 6000 jumps and getting on for 40 years in the sport, Langar legend Dean Fisher did his first BirdMan jump last weekend. Our very own Craig Poxon briefed him up but couldn't jump with him so I did the honours. He was awesome! Super cool (not suprising when you hear some of what else he's done), very focussed, he even flew the correct pattern which is pretty unusual for a first timer! Most importantly - he absolutely loved it How many other 'senior' birdmen are there out there? GusOutpatientsOnline.com
fenceline 0 #2 August 6, 2004 Looks like he was pretty serious though the whole dive...... Welcome to the flock
Tonto 1 #3 August 6, 2004 That's just awesome. I know people literally half his age that are afraid of doing new stuff. Cool. tIt's the year of the Pig.
bodypilot1 0 #4 August 6, 2004 QuoteHow many other 'senior' birdmen are there out there? Hmmmm? Please define "senior"? Great to see someone with some many years in the sport try something new, or maybe I should say something that he has seen come back again, only this time alot more safe then the wingsuits of the past..... Thanks for the pics! Be safe. -www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
BBKid 0 #5 August 6, 2004 The man is a legend - and a great instructor too! If it wasn't for him I would never have stopped spinning on 15 second delays! I did think he was going in when I watched him freefall past me for what seemed like at least 10 seconds, after I had pulled at 4,000. Tell him to keep it up! ManBird 0 #6 August 6, 2004 That's about 2,200' -- pretty normal, actually. That aside... If he's been in the sport for 40 years, then he very likely was around for both wingsuit eras! Very cool."¯"`-._.-¯) ManBird (¯-._.-´"¯" Click
