I haven't been watching the porch this hard since I ordered my first damn rig.

You'll be watching that porch hard once those girls of yours are old enough to go out with boys. Only difference I suspect is that you will be waiting with a gun:D

Oh, dude, that's just wrong. I'm watching the porch like I'm getting a secret decoder ring, and you are reminding me I'm just 9 years from interrupting some doofus from talking my girls out of making a grave mistake. Actually, the poor doofus will be making the mistake...>:(

I'll be SF3 proficient for Eloy. I've got 8 GTi jumps thanks to Mad John, one with the video.

I can't wait for my custom "superman" suit.

Oh those two are just way too kewt JP....

9 years????

BWAHAHAHAHA... uh huh.. right;)

Oh oh Back on Topic... so I dont have a Birduit flight yet.. what is the accepted procedure here GTi first.. then SF3????

We know I have issues about a suit being big enough to fit all of me in it. I know they are bringing some along to Eloy.. hopefully I will get to jump one there... but which one first....waaaahhh I wanna fly a suit...

We have a girl I've been loaning my Classic to for 15-20 jumps and shes seemed to have figured it out and was able to fly close to me a few times with out me doing the flying to her. Over the weekend I loaned my Classic to some one else and she wanted to flock so I flipped her my S3 after talking to her about all the differences and stuff. She did ok for the first 1/4 of the flight I guess but after that the suit totally flew her and she was barely in control I guess. She landed ok, but was not wanting to jump the S3 anymore.

The progression I've heard from some of the BMCI's and from Jari is usually a few jumps on a Classic or Classic2, then a few on a GTi. By this point you should have 25-30 flights and are getting profecient. GTi's are reccommened as a suit to purchace if you are not going to be out in it every weekend pushing the limits of skyflying in a S3. S3's are not the best all around suit, GTi's are. It is very easy to get in over your head on an S3. I watched someone with over 100 Skyflier1 jumps struggle on their first S3 jump because of all the extra material and performance the suit can do. The S3 is not the suit that you put on if you are only planning on doing a flight once a month or less.

I'm just a young bird but I'm doing no less then 20 flights per month for the last 4.5 months (100 flights in 5 months is my goal, 8 more flights to go B|) and I honestly think that at 70 flights my Classic still could have taught me some more things before I went to my S3. I'm seeing way too many people wanting S3's and not really having the skills to fly them. I've got a guy at my DZ that only has about 10 wingsuit flights in 5 months and asked to jump my S3... :|

I'm not being chauvinistic here but women generally have a harder time when upper body strength comes into play. With a SF3 the added material requires more strength than the other suits. Likewise, I have seen guys have arm issues 3/4 of the way into a flight. Until BM specific muscles are used to the stress it can be tiring for some people. I think the general misconception is that after a few uneventful flights on a classic /GTI people feel secure enough to jump to a SF3. The problem is that the suit has more material and requires more specific control to fly it efficiently but it is more forgiving than the original skyflyer so people feel they can skim by until they dial the suit in. Now if they went to an original skyflyer they would swear it off completly because that suit is unforgiving as hell and will scare the hell out of you if you don't fly it correctly. Phree will vouch for that I am positive. It is absolutely to your benefit to get as much time in a GTI as possible before going to a SF or SF3 if you want to fly the suit efficiently and not see any performance drops. If you don't plan on making that many BM jumps, a GTI will more than suffice for your occasional flights and be forgiving enough to allow you to have a good time either alone or with others and be more cost effecient in the long run.

:)

So, over the years I have lost some of that and will need to get in better shape. OK OK so I have been working on it.. I am old... but I am having some serious fun in the sky and this is just something else I will need to do to enjoy myself. But I do appreciate the input and hopefully yall will bring along some of that Nylon Crack for me to try there.

Kim tells me my suit will be here next week. I haven't been watching the porch this hard since I ordered my first damn rig.

I just found out that the custom purple/silver GTi I ordered should be at BirdMan today or tomorrow. If it comes in today, they're gonna' overnight it. If not, then I'll have my baby next week!:o

Yeah wondering where mine is, too, it is already a week overdue.......... :(:(:(

What we DID get tho (other jumpers at our DZ) were a couple of Pantz in right colors, wrong sizes. That's a way to keep them busy... :S[:/]

So everybody, STOP ordering Pantz and let them finish our suits!!! >:(:D:D:D

OK, I just got off the phone with Kim. I got a tracking number and everything. My suit should be here Friday.

Not much selection on Pantz. It was black with a silver stripe, yellow with a red stripe, or white with a red stripe.

Don't care for the Raiders.

jp has the market cornered on yellow/orange/red

Well, white may make up for the humidity caused by ZPB|.

Hope everything fits right. It's been a tough wait.

I got my tracking number too. It'll be here on Monday. Drat.

OK. So for you folks watching at home, that is order faxed on September 9, confirmed on September 11, delivered on November 24.

That's about 10.5 weeks. Demand is high, so get your order in early.

I'll see all you flockers in Eloy!

When are you gonna be at ZHills exactly? I'll be leaving Eloy on the 4th....probably go to LA for a couple days...then home...if you're not gonna be at Eloy, maybe we can flock at ZHills..
