dogdoghowl 5 #1 November 2, 2003 I am just wondering what pilot chutes are recommended for wingsuit flying. I am going to get the 100" bridle from Birdman Int'l, but have a new Sabre2 135 and Javelin Odyssey on order, and so I think I will just request whatever size pilot chute I need from Sunpath (no need to have an unused pilot chute laying around). So, what size pilot chute should I be asking for? I know Birdman Int'l offers a 28" ZP pilot chute, so perhaps this is the size I should ask for, but is it the best size pilot chute for my Sabre2 135? And do Sunpath make ZP pilot chutes, or just F1-11?
robibird 3 #2 November 2, 2003 Hi, 28'' F-1-11 would be the good choice for Sabre2 135 and Javelin. Pull force is high enough and ensure proper opening. RobibirdRobert Pecnik robert@phoenix-fly.com www.phoenix-fly.com

That should have you ready for your wingsuiting. How's your numbers look? Give me a buzz when you have a minute. I think it is a 30" which is perfectaly acceptable for that canopy size for wingsuit flying. For other disciplines maybe it's airing on the large side. just my opinion Andy fordFordy
 diablopilot 2 #5 November 2, 2003 Sunpath only make F-111 P/C's. The bridle and P/C need to be built and assembled at the same time. (You could design it otherwise, but most are not built that way.) If you really wish to have the 100" bridle, Id recomend getting it with a28" ZP P/C installed. I have the 100" bridle, and I deploy in full flight. There is a HUGE difference in the size of your burble, and it is not a good idea to deploy in full flight with the S3 compared to the Classic. You're goin to love it when it does come in tho Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked! I am not so sure about that... I most always deploy in 75-90% max... Then again I have a cobalt that is designed to open staged, Mayeb thats why I can do that? my 2cents.. please dont flameLeroy ..I knew I was an unwanted baby when I saw my bath toys were a toaster and a radio... I've never tried it, not even once ... I always try and slow my forward speed before deployment and that's how I also teach my students. Not flaming at all, it was just a word of precaution ... not sayin it won't ever happen, but the chances of getting your PC stuck in your burble are far greater when you deploy in full flight, so why take the extra chance?
