krkeenan 0 #1 October 28, 2003 What is the change that was made recently to the software of the ProTrack to make it work better with BM flying ? Probably the same question, but what is the drawback of the older unit's software ? kevin====================== Seasons don't fear the Reaper, nor do the Wind, the Sun, or the Rain... gus 1 #2 October 28, 2003 There's a "slo" mode that I think is a relatively recent change. As far as I know it changes the speed at which the ProTrack thinks you've deployed your canopy so that wingsuit flight doesn't confuse it. I don't know of any more recent changes. base704 0 #3 October 28, 2003 Mine still only records 119 seconds... I've also had mine shut off at 33 seconds, thinking I deployed at 9,800 feet. I guess it can easily be "fooled".You can get a lot more done with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone.
ManBird 0 #4 October 28, 2003 Yeah, they still all just go to 119 seconds. I'm assuming you wear it on your helmet (what an odd thing to do with an audible altimeter). If you look in the same direction that your ProTrack is set on your helmet while falling slowly, you can easily shut it off. I wear mine in my front pants pocket."¯"`-._.-¯) ManBird (¯-._.-´"¯" Click
