bodypilot1 0 #2 October 27, 2003 Not a bad article.... Usually they make us sound like "death seekers" in a very "un"calculated sport, but the writer didn't over write that "skydiving=curtain death".... ManBird 0 #3 October 27, 2003 Ugh. It's so bad it's almost funny. This isn't news, this is a sixth-grade current events report full of invalid information and little to no relevancy between subjects. You know it's doomed when the claim is made that going from 120 MPH to 45 MPH *doubles* your freefall time to two minutes. 45 down more than doubles, even when pulling high. That whole BSBD/Porsche/BMW quote was a frickin' joke. BD's quote was the only thing that was true and pressworthy, but even then, the writer had to throw in a comment to twist his his words. And where they got that Felix did anything BirdMan related in freefall for 14 minutes or that he popularized wingsuits (which he wasn't even flying), I'll never know."¯"`-._.-¯) ManBird (¯-._.-´"¯" Click

dgskydive 0 #6 October 28, 2003 At least they didn't mention the world famous "Knifes Edge" Dom
ManBird 0 #7 October 28, 2003 They didn't even mention "The Bottle Top Spin". FYI, "The Bottle Top Spin" is the name of a move that doesn't exist that can be applied to any sport where tricks are involved (breakdancing, dirt biking, kiteboarding, etc). It makes it sound like you know what you are talking about, and can be followed up with an accusation of not being a member of a certain "school", as shown in the two examples below: - "What?! You've never heard of the bottle top spin? Man, and you act like you're old school." - "You haven't hit the bottle top spin yet? You gotta get with the new school.""¯"`-._.-¯) ManBird (¯-._.-´"¯" Click

That doesn't sound unreasonable. >That whole BSBD/Porsche/BMW quote was a frickin' joke.
