crawford 0 #1 January 3, 2003 I have recently ventured into the awesome world of Wingsuit flight. I have purchased a GTi and have made 8 jumps with it last weekend... My question to all you wingsuit freaks out there is: What is the optimum position to establish the most freefall time and distance while flying this suit. I have gone as far as 2.25 miles but seems my freefall time is not what it should be. Any help would be mostly appreciated. quade 4 #2 January 3, 2003 Minimum Sink Speed (longest time aloft) and Best Glide Speed (farthest distance covered) will require two different positions and speeds. I -can't- give you exact particulars on how to do it, but I -can- give you a URL that has an excellent explanation of the difference between the two. http://home.att.net/~jdburch/polar.htm This page is specifically about gliders, but if you think about it for even a fraction of a second, you'll realize it's the exact same thing for a Bird-Man suit or under canopy.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
