What to get?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I almost have my A license (damn NW weather!) and Im debating on what to get next for gear.
I currently own an altimeter and some CURV Z sunglasses/goggles.

Should I look into:
- jumpsuit
- ProTrack
- used/new rig (complete or not)

I have already planned to buy some decent gloves for the cooling air at 10,000 ft.

Thanks

A ProTrack is nice to have (especially if you are freeflying), but not 100% required. A jumpsuit geared towards your style of skydiving is also nice to have. But you can also jump in street clothes. So my vote would be to start thinking about purchasing a rig. Buy one which is freefly friendly (even if freeflying isn't your cup of tea), but be careful to select a canopy and a reserve which are applicable to your experience level.

Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Two post with the same question in a day...:)
Look into the "Why wait"-thread and do a search on "buying first rig"... Please.;)

Apart from that, ProTrack is a nice device, audible is a good thing anyway, but learn not to rely only on that (it's tempting).
I'd recommend waiting a bit before you buy your first rig, like 4-60 jumps for getting more canopy experience.

Apart from that, HAVE FUN!:D
The mind is like a parachute - it only works once it's open.
From the edge you just see more.
