Hummusx 0 #1 September 9, 2003 I have a friend that is looking at buying some gear (we are both pretty new to skydiving) and was talking to someone that has a javelin with a maverone 250 in it. For some reason the person didn't know what size their container is. Of course the proper thing to do is get the SN and call sunpath to find out anything he might want to know, which is what he is planning to do. Anyway, it got me thinking about pack sizes. The sizing chart on their web site lists the max sizes in ZP sq ft. The maverone appears to be f111, which I've heard packs smaller. Can anyone give me some idea what the size difference is? A couple square feet? A lot more? Also I thought I'd read somewhere that a 7 cell packs smaller than a 9 cell. Is this true? Would it actually be a noticeable amount? ____________________________________ It’s like selling a million grills all at the same time…with extended warranties. -Hank Hill
Blahr 0 #2 September 9, 2003 pack volume would be measured in cubic inches, rather than square feet. ZP usually packs larger because its much harder to get all the air out of it. I believe 7 cell packs smaller because there are less lines mostly and ribs between the cells etc.
