Squeak 17 #1 June 6, 2003 I was reading through a thread on incidents and this question arose. Why turn off AADs for CRW. Kris answered me and pointed me to a couple of threads which adiquately answered my concerns. However they also reaised a concern for me. thanks for thel links Kris. This is the question I posted to Kris, he sugested I post it here. I have one concern with all this, here in Oz it's mandatory to jump with an functional AAD with all licences up to D, for D licence you can have an AAD or RSL (both have to be working). This being the case how does one learn to do CRW safely, with functional AAD that could cause problems??? What say the Dwags???You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
Gadget 0 #2 June 6, 2003 As long as your aad is a cypres there is no problem in jumping it during a crw jump.As far as a rsl is concerned, don't jump it on crw.You don't want your reserve going in the shit you just cut away from.If people from Poland are called Poles, why aren't people from Holland called Holes??? faulknerwn 38 #3 June 6, 2003 I don't mind jumping with Cypreses if its small CRW jumps and you break reasonably high. I wouldn't ever jump one on big-ways, but I think you're fairly safe on small ones.
