Tony Space Suit

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

I was thinking about a space suit. I have been looking around my and other DZ's and I have not seen many people with a space suit.. Whats the deal with that? Just looking for some different opinions regarding fit, quality, customer service and delivery time? any insight would be sweet.

I have done a search but nothing that I turned up was recent.

Thanks

I got one ... two months and two re-do later it still doesn't fit well. I will cut my losses and order a new one, probably from Liquid Sky.

Usually I don't throw this out here in public forum because I like Tony, he's a good guy, but I will call my ditto on this situation. I ordered a female space suit, and it too came back ill fitting as well as with the use of a wrong color I choose. I was taking a trip to FL, so I stopped in the shop to get re-measured and get the remake done on it, and that one came back even worse-- I couldn't even get my arms in the suit. Unfortunately I cut my losses at that point too, and my new Liquid Sky suit will be in sometime this week. Nothing against Tony and the people he works with-- all very nice people, but it's just business.

If you are looking for a suit, I will give a HUGE shout out to liquid sky. I don't even have my suit yet, and I will back them up just from their AMAZING customer service. I've never seen somebody with a bad looking suit from them, and tons of people have them. Like you said with the space suits, you don't see many people with them, so there's probably a reason why. Lots of people are rocking LS since they came out, and they've got the reputation to back it up. Julio has called me numerous times and personally worked on the suit and talked with me over the phone about the littlest of details. You can really see his passion in the suits he puts out, and I'm really sorry that I just didn't bite the bullet and put the money out for a suit from them to begin with.

Just my .02. Good luck finding a suit!
Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)

Mine is too short in the torso giving me an uncomfortble, almost painful "camel toe". It is big at the chest, too tight at the hips and I can barely bend my arms (it restricts my movement).

It looks nice, the materials are of quality and the stitching looks durable ... but the fit is exteremely poor.

Same here... too long in the chest though, but the worst part was the arm restriction. I couldn't bend my arm all the way in the suit (like when you are carrying your canopy back from the landing area slung over your shoulder). It pinched my skin and caused bruises there. The remake they measured me for was even smaller and I could barely get my arms in the suit. It was unusable at that point. [:/]

It def. looked durable. If you can get the fit right on it, it's probably not a bad suit to have, especially since they run a couple hundred less than some competitors. But word of caution that I just learned through my suit process-- you get what you pay for.

Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)

I have a Tony Space Suit that I absolutely love. I also have a Liquid Sky suit that is perfect too. One is my slow FF suit (baggy) and the other is much faster. I think both companies have excellent customer service however I don't think Tony is as "hands on" as Julio is at Liquid Sky. I know that Julio has been know to sit at the sewing machine himself when the seamstress couldn't make it in for the day.
FWIW I prefer the fit and comfort of the Liquid Sky but jump the Tony more often.....go figure.:S

there are plenty of manufacturers to choose from but since people are mentioning, I will have to say I have heard nothing but good things about Liquid Sky but I personally have a DeepSeed I can vouch for.

Cheap, amazing quality, suit flies sick, awesome options and palette, etc. Oh and customer service was above and beyond at every step.

Just my 2cts

Just got mine, havn't got a chance to jump it yet.
As for construction its a very well made suit by the looks of it so far.. all the colour's and design is correct. I tried it on and no issues with the fit so far. It seems a little baggy in the legs but I'll need to jump it first to see if that works for or against me.

I recently ordered a space suit and couldn't possibly ask for a better fit. Not sure if I lucked out, or if other people just didn't measure quite right.
Customer service was definitely lacking, considering it took probably 2 weeks just to get them to confirm they got the order. However, once it was ordered I got it within 2 weeks, so that made up for it.

You can't go wrong with Liquid Sky though.

I tried to find a decent picture of the suit but this is the best I could do.
