prodiver913 0 #1 November 20, 2008 Just ordered a Freefly suit from Deepseed with the mini grips and was wondering if anyone has one or knows anyone with one and how they like it. I mainly Freefly but I think the mini grips should be cool for when I do RW. Any comments? I'm completely in favor of the separation of Church and State. My idea is that these two institutions screw us up enough on their own, so both of them together is certain death.
pilot-one 0 #2 November 21, 2008 If you're going to freefly I'd skip the grips. If you're going to do RW get a RW suit. I guarantee later on you'd regret trying to do both with one suit. IMHO of course.
prodiver913 0 #3 November 21, 2008 yeah, i thought about not getting the mini grips but my buddy has them and says it's no problem and it's a good thing to have if I ever do RW. Very rarely, but still nice not to change suits. I'm completely in favor of the separation of Church and State. DoZ3r 0 #4 November 21, 2008 First... Never jumped Deepseed suits... But know the Phobos Freefly Team guys, and they seem to be quite happy with them... They don't really do anything (at least i think so.. :P) but are good for RW, and therefore also good for the FF jumps where you have to go on your belly or back to do some grips...If everything seems under control.. You're just not going fast enough..!
JohnnyZ 0 #5 November 22, 2008 I jump only Deepseed gear (Swoop pants, Freefly pants, Freefly top and Camera top)... I've never jumped one of their suits with grips, but I came across a Deepseed sponsored Australian team that was and they looked to be really nice. The main reason for the FF suits with grips is for VRW. They are much smaller than your standard RW grip and shouldn't have any effect on your freeflying. Jumping an RW suit, on the other hand, will greatly effect you while freeflying... Especially while sit flying. In my opinion... Go for it. The suit will only be more versitile if you want to use it once in a while for RW... And you will not be dissapointed with their product. They build a great suit at a great price! HSPScott 0 #6 December 17, 2008 I have them on my DS FF pants. They don't get in the way at all, and are very sturdy. I mainly shoot video and got the grippers on the pants for the occasional fun jump. They have worked great. I would say get them.
