jclalor 12 #1 October 17, 2008 With 40 recent jumps belly flying, how many jumps should I expect to make to learn the basics to sit fly? Thanks for any advice.
kefran 0 #2 October 17, 2008 quite hard to answer ... there's so much variables ! can you afford some tunnel time ? how "easy" are you actually on your belly ? have you ever tried to fly on your back ? etc ... it could take from 3-4 jumps to get stable up to 30 jumps before being able to stand up correctly in the air ... have a try but don't forget to ask first if your rig is freefly friendly ...-------------------------------------------------- I never used 2 rocks to start a fire ... this is called evolution ! Jazzthieve 0 #3 October 17, 2008 I would say anywhere from 50 up to a 100 jumps.
punkd 0 #4 October 18, 2008 I've got about 100 or so sit jumps and am just now getting to the point where I can take actual docks (not just zooming by and grabbing for a foot or something). Still only avg about 3 points per jump.

I don't have many jumps but I have done some kickass group sitfly jumps. I have docked a couple times with some folks too. I'd say it took me a good 10-15 jumps to be able to stick a sitfly for the whole jump without corking out... Jump with people with experience and get pointers.... MOST IMPORTANTLY, BE SAFE
