weegegirl 2 #1 July 1, 2008 Last post on this topic I can find is from 2005. VRW people... what are your thoughts on grippers. Pros/cons? Where would you recommend getting them or not.... upper arm, upper leg, lower leg?
freeflyimpaired 0 #2 July 1, 2008 For years I use to fly with rag tag home made pants and shirts. They worked great but last year when I joined a team and decided to get serious about VFS I went out and bought a top of the line "VRW Suit". Although I love the suit, I pretty much have no use for the grippers. Two seasons of training and I don't recall anybody actually using one of my grippers to take a dock. Of the two different teams I've trained on I'm the only one that has had grippers. I know that Mandrin has them and I've seen them used in certain points but I don't believe Arsenal even has grippers on their current suits. They look a little goofy and have not been used, if I could go back I would pass on the grippers. supafly 0 #3 July 1, 2008 We don't have them on our suits. I can't see using them in freefall, but they might be nice on some exits.Arizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com

With the way you guys fly I figure you would need all the help you can get just to hold on to eachother.
