What was it that you just couldn't get right?

Recommended Posts

What was that one annoying thing you just couldn't get right? How did you eventually fix the problem?

For me it was forward movement in a sit. I tried pushing my hips forward, tried pushing my back and shoulders into the wind, tried pointing my toes. Nothing seemed to work every time for me. Sometimes I would get it right without even knowing exactly what I was doing,...then come next jump I wouldn't be able to move an inch forward again. Ive now fixed the problem with a combination of going into a bit of a stand and then pushing my back backwards.

Ive still got a problem of not being able to fall down the tube while in hd but im getting better. Will have to report back on that one in a few weeks (months? years?) when I get it right.

Have any of you had one particular thing which you just couldn't get right, and then all of a sudden a light switch was turned on and voila...problem solved!

For me it was full cartwheels. I just couldn't seem to rotate all the way around. I'd go from my head to a sit and then just kinda stay there. :D To be honest, I dunno what I did to fix the problem.....one day I could just do it. :P:D I guess sometimes when life is good, it's better not to ask why. There's always something. :D

I have some body position issues to iron out right now. In fact, I'm probably looking at most of this season to "relearn" a new form. Building bad habits and getting used to flying "funky" is NOT GOOD. Sure... I can fly on my head and hold my own. BUT... unless I stop now and fix some stuff, it'll just hurt me in the longrun.

Sooooooo... on that note.... hello 2005 season! B| Off to a fantastic start! :)
