Kimblair13 0 #1 January 28, 2005 Hey, Has anyone had trouble when trying to back track? I seriously look like a retarded person. Sometimes I circle around and around and then other times it's just way too steep. Or...if anyone has a pic of a good back track?...looking at how it should be I think would help. If yes, try and follow his axis, and fall rate and speed too. If not, you should. A video with a very nice example is Crosswind, with Omar flying on his back, with wide open arms which I believe are good for stabilityscissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

Peej 0 #6 January 31, 2005 Something else you might want to try is with your rig on, lie on your bck on the ground. Feel that de-arched position? That's the position you wanna be in when you track on your back. (At least that's how it was explained to me by a coach a while back and it seems to have worked thus far.) Vertifly 0 #11 February 2, 2005 i received some really good advice on this once. lead in with your head and let the rest of your body follow. you can use your eyes to start. lay down on the floor or by the edge of your bed and look at the wall behind you. in the sky, you can do this by looking at the horizon (albeit upside-down) in the lying position. after you pick up some speed, the position will be set, then slowly bring your head back to up. if you bring your head too high, you may come out of the spot so do it slowly. after a few times, good old muscle memory with be in your favor. it may take about three jumps, but it's a sure winner. good luck !!!!
