GTAVercetti 0 #1 January 4, 2005 I have tried a search both here and on google and cannot find it. What is the record for a SITFLY bigway? All of the freefly records I have found involve head-down. I know that it is harder to get a bunch of sitflyers together in the sky but is there a record? It must be pretty small. If there is some type of thread that has this info in it, then sorry for this post. But I tried 'sitfly record' and 'sitfly bigway' to no avail. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
skygod7777 0 #2 January 4, 2005 i have no clue what the record is, but the bigest i've ever seen was a 10 way round...........i know at the richmond boogie 2 years ago amy chelecki (sp?, sugar glider) was wanting to put toegether a 12 way sit that was going to be slot perfect and all that........a 4 way train, with 4 way stair steps on each leg of the person on the bottom of the train, but due to weather we never got it up. but i don't think there is an official record. later
sclosoma 0 #3 February 25, 2005 I don't think there is an actual record for sit flying but we have done a 10 way sit round in Lodi, CA several times check out www.jimmyhalliday.com there is a picture of one of our 10 way sit rounds and you can also buy an awsome video he made called Radix that has some footage of the round and with him also going through the middle. kelel01 1 #4 February 25, 2005 You know, in about two-three years, we should get one together. I'll fly base.

Yes, in two or three years, I think I will be just good enough to fly base as well! Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing. ASTKU 1 #6 November 19, 2010 Bumpy bump....... Is there a sitfly record?? I know there was an Eloy 20 way sit round recently but I believe it started as a 20 way belly round and then transitioned. So, why don't we care about sitfly records or backfly records. Shit, how cool would it be to build a 20 way round only backflying!

stayhigh 2 #8 December 15, 2010 sit record building from sit only will take two planes, and probably maximum 20 people. I'm talking about 20 people each with 7000+ freefly jumps. and back record building from back only???? I'd say max out at 10 way??? and all of them with 7000+ freefly jumps. 20 way back round building from back sounds ridiculously hard.Bernie Sanders for President 2016
beowulf 1 #9 December 15, 2010 I don't think it's so much a matter of jump number as it would be a matter of tunnel time. I could see someone participating with 1,000 jumps and a couple hundred hours of tunnel time.
stayhigh 2 #10 December 15, 2010 and I meant to say all of them being proflyer level. 4 of my friends can make 4 way back star and turn points all day long inside the tunnel but to do samething in sky it is different story.Bernie Sanders for President 2016
beowulf 1 #11 December 15, 2010 Right, but someone with 10,000 jumps and no tunnel time is going have a very difficult time back flying. Back flying in the sky isn't done very often. Even doing a big sitfly formation will be very difficult with out lots of tunnel time. It takes both, but the more tunnel the better you will be in the sky. At least that has been true for me. You're right 7000 jumps and proflyer would make a sitfly or back fly formation very likely to happen in only a few attempts maybe just one attempt. ASTKU 1 #12 December 15, 2010 Quote20 way back round building from back sounds ridiculously hard. I once saw a video (I tried to find it but couldn't) of a 4-way team that did an entire routine on their back. They must have turned something like 15 points. So a 4-way team (airspeed) has done 50 points on a jump and the record for biggest formation is a 400 way.... I have seen people turning something like 15 points on their back the whole time, so I would think a 20 way back fly was definitely possible... Let's go practice!! ASTKU 1 #13 December 15, 2010 QuoteRight, but someone with 10,000 jumps and no tunnel time is going have a very difficult time back flying. I have about 20 minutes on my back in the tunnel and overall around 600 jumps.... I can fly around on my back fairly well. I can stay under a belly formation or a tracking group and I have even docked on my back... I'm not saying I could be on this big ass back fly formation but I think people with this goal in mind could do it with a lot less than 100 hours of tunnel time. I'll also add that I think a skydiver (speaking in generalities) would have more range of speed in a backfly than on your belly. What do you think? Would you agree?? mchamp 1 #14 December 15, 2010 Actually on the women's HD record there was a woman who only had 700ish jumps but tons of tunnel time and definitely made it happen For info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp
ebusto 0 #15 December 15, 2010 I can think of 3 ladies from Northern California alone with less than 700 jumps each who were on the HD record. I want to see this happen. Where do I sign up?
hookitt 1 #16 December 15, 2010 I don't have 100 plus hours of tunnel time or 7000 jumps but I'd like to join in on this.
