totalbodypilot 0 #26 September 19, 2004 HI, The problem with this round is its a "speed" Round and the teams were more than likly going "to fast" to judge. Thats what happened at this years Nat's. to Alcamey. Funny calling it a speed round when the judges say its to fast to judge?!?!? Why not call it a "go as fast as the judges can judge it round". My 2 cents...... Colon Berryseek and destroy, clear and sweep, what ever you want to call it, its all fun in games in the game of war.
arlo 0 #27 September 19, 2004 spot on gillian. RW has it's own judging issues as well, but the round 2 fiasco was fucked up. anomaly: big kudos to you for representing the US at this world meet and for flying your asses off. YOU know how well you did...and so do the other competitors. sorry you got dicked over by the judges. i feel for you guys that compete in the artisitic events. in RW competitions, MOST everything is pretty cut and dry (except for a couple of block moves that STILL are causing issues). but there's so much room for interpretation within the artistic category that it would be nice to see some qualified people judging these things. for everyone that competed and overcame all the crap with relocating and such: congratulations on getting out there and skydiving your asses off. arlo
Gralala 0 #28 September 20, 2004 Hey Jim, I've been watching all the scoring. The final scoring shows the wrong scores? I added up USA#1 and I got the total of 56.3 putting them in 2nd? P.S. We will be back to Spaceland next weekend! Laura (Went checked Omniskore... What a crock... And they wonder why we don't trust judging?) grega 0 #29 September 20, 2004 How many actual docks/grips did they do in speed rounds? "George just lucky i guess!"
jdhill 0 #30 September 20, 2004 If you plug in the "re-judge" from round 2, you get the results that match the total column. JAll that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke
Gralala 0 #31 September 20, 2004 Thanks! I figured out once I read Omniskore and am still ticked about it.. Ridiculous when the judges steal a competition away from true competitors and champions. garyharbird 0 #32 September 20, 2004 Hey folks......yup.....4th place for Anomaly.....should have been 2nd......but you can only do so much..... Sorry for the lack of posts the past few days....Saturday we had the closing ceremonies and then party.....and then party.....and then more party......late night for all......So Sunday went from "we're all gonna do big ways" to "hey....where is everyone?" Our teams decided to head to Sao Paulo instead of jumping and run around the city before catching night planes home. Soooooo with that said...I've got lots of pics from the closing ceremonies......and then some. Check omniskore in a few hours........if I don't fall asleep on the couch....I'll get it posted...... Thanks for all of the support! Everyone down there really did appreciate it! -Brian
gemini 0 #33 September 20, 2004 Thanks to everyone for their comments. I have been in Perris since before the event started and have had to share the computer with everyone. I can't believe that the judges didn't see that they were being had by the French. All the events were finished and then they decide to rejudge round 2 due to a French protest that resulted in France finishing 1, 2, 3? The damn judges should have had the commen sense to rule that the perhaps the monitor was not sufficient, but since it was used to judge all rounds and competitors the results were equal and should stand. What a crock and shame on the judges for having no balls. I just hope the guys can put it behind them and get ready for nationals. I talked to Rook this weekend and he was happy to see them doing so well, but that was before the rejudge and I haven't seen him or Alaska Jon since. We did a 100+ rw jump and Alchemy freeflew in the rooms we formed. It is going to be a great picture for Parachutist. Look for it! Blues to all. Let's move on... Kramer 0 #35 September 20, 2004 QuoteJon dislocated his elbow in the tunnel and they had to skip the event. Any info on if they'll still be competing at Nationals?! The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
gemini 0 #36 September 20, 2004 QuoteAny info on if they'll still be competing at Nationals?! I think they are. They were training last week. A freeflyer on the plane a few minutes ago said Alaska is not 100%, but I think that is why they skipped World so he could rest, take it easy and fly without stressing the injury.
