Chapsta 0 #1 September 13, 2004 OK... I can finally stay inverted I'm kind of a bigger guy 5' 11" 190# When I first started sit flying I burned right through the sky and now I can float with the little guys if I want. I know that it's just a matter of time till I'm relaxed in this new orientation and I can do the same... but I have a question while I'm learning. I've naturally gone into a daffy position while trying to learn. My question is whether a slower daffy is going to involve straighter legs or bending at the knee to present more of the larger part of your legs... Does that make sense??? If you keep your legs straight you'll present more of your leg overall (including the calf), but if you sort of bend at the knee you can really present the larger thigh to the relative. Hope that makes sense... Have fun out there!! ChapsCarpe diem
tenfootswoops 0 #2 September 13, 2004 Less munchies, Chappy. LOL. More surface area = slower fall rate so, the more leg presented will slow you down. You'll get slower over time without even realizing it because your muscles will adapt. Don't forget to learn how to move forward/backward, transitions, etc. Don't get caught up on worrying only about speed. D.J.
