Jumpmunki 0 #1 February 16, 2004 am getting sit coaching and am just practicing getting into my sit, i have a video for people to laugh at lol, if they wish to obtain it MSN messenger me jumpmunkiathotmaildotcom it's about 20meg i think does anyone wish to host it? i spent more tim eon my back in a feeble feotal position before giving up and going flat at about 7 grand (we were last out of a small load at 15 grand) or i would have stayed small and fast, it was my first jump for 2 months i'm still having trouble staying steady and pushing my legs down. would it maybe be a good idea to reduce the drag on my legs by taping up my ff suit excess? i could jump in shorts but it's FAR TOO COLD check it owwwaatt! SkydiveNFlorida 0 #2 February 16, 2004 Quotewould it maybe be a good idea to reduce the drag on my legs Yes. It is much easier to learn to push your legs down when you don't have a lot of drag on them. Generally, move bag up top and less on the bottom is recommended for learning sitfly. Have fun! Angela. Definitely helps teach you to fly your body, particularly your legs when learning. The hardest part for me was keeping my legs pressed down. Just keep working at it...it'll all click eventuallly!!! ~R+R~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Fly the friendly skies...^_^...})ii({...^_~...

Gently push down on the soles of your feet. The harder you push it the harder it's going to be to get stable. Just RELAX and put your legs there. If you bend down into a sit position (legs wide) whilst standing (on the ground), that is the amount of muscle strenth your going to need to use to keep your legs from buckling under when in freefall. Also, think WIDE LEGS when your in a sit. also think 90 degree angles (lower legs to thighs, thighs to back and arms to torso. Keeps your upper legs in a good spot. Remember, real sit fly has little to do with your arms. Now I have a freefly suit and WHAT A DIFFERENCE, it is easy now and I can do pretty much what I want in a sit.
