Trent 0 #1 February 20, 2003 Just wanted to let you guys know: We're doing our freefly league here again. This will be a great way to develop skills and speed for the Texas Freefly League. Just like last year, we only require attendance at 3 of 4 meets to be considered for overall winners. Our structure will be more geared towards preparations for national competition: 2 speed rounds and 1 free round each meet. You don't have to have a video flyer, as we can provide that for you. Come check it out. Although the first meet is scheduled for this weekend, we may move it to the end of the schedule because of the recent weather. Here ya go: Spaceland Freefly League Meet #1: February 20-23 Spaceland Freefly League Meet #2: March 20-23 Spaceland Freefly League Meet #3: April 24-27 Spaceland Freefly League Meet #4: May 22-25 Would any of you be interested? We wanna feel out how many teams may compete.Oh, hello again!

tenfootswoops 0 #3 February 20, 2003 If you end up having the first event this weekend, would there be any flyers there at Spaceland not competing? I'm thinking of traveling down that way because the forecast looks like it will flood the runway at SD Dallas. I don't think anybody else will be coming because everyone seems to be broke. I need to jump. D.J.
Trent 0 #4 February 20, 2003 Right now it looks like the first meet will move to the end of the competition. The weather's been too crappy lately to let people really work on things. There will definitely be people jumping this weekend since I think everyone's jonesing pretty bad. Ted, remember, you only need one person to jump with. We can do video for you. Spread the word if you would. The prizes will make it worth competing for sure.Oh, hello again!

Trent 0 #9 March 9, 2003 Here's an update on the dates of the meets: Spaceland Freefly League Meet #1: March 20-23 Spaceland Freefly League Meet #2: April 17-20 Spaceland Freefly League Meet #3: May 22-25 Spaceland Freefly League Meet #4: June 26-29 You only need to be at 3 of them to win. There's only 3 jumps per meet per team, so you can do this anytime during the scheduled meet. We can provide video for teams without. Here's the moves we'll be drawing from, they reflect some of the required moves for Nationals to help teams get ready! Compulsory Draw - Sit Fly Randoms 1. Toe Touch: Both flyers in a sit position, both flyers touch each other's toes. 2. Dual 360: A simultaneous 360 turn (left or right) on the vertical axis by both flyers in a sit position. 3. Dual Flip: A simultaneous flip (front or back) on the horizontal axis by both flyers in a sit position. 4. Foot to Knee Dock: Both flyers in a sit, one places feet on the other's knees. 5. Hand to Foot Dock: Both flyers in a sit, one performs a single-hand dock to the other flyer’s foot. 6. Hand to Hand Dock: Both flyers in a sit, one performs a single-hand dock to the other flyer's hand. Compulsory Draw - Intermediate/Advanced Randoms 1. Dual 360 Rotation: A simultaneous 360 turn (left or right) on the vertical axis by both flyers in a head down position. 2. Head-Down Hand Grip: Both performers are head-down, facing each other. A hand-to-hand grip is taken. 3. Dual Front-Flip: A simultaneous full front flip is performed by both flyers, starting from and ending in the head-down position. 4. Spock: One flyer in a sit position and one head down. The head down person performs a one handed dock to the sit flyer's head. 5. Totem: Both flyers in a sit position. One flyer docks with feet to the others shoulders. 6. Eagle: One performer is in a head-up position, the other is head-down facing the other performer. Head-down performer goes below and underneath the other performer, passing through the back-down position. The other performer goes over the top, passing through the face-down position. This motion continues until both performers are in their original positions. Both performers must remain facing each other, keeping proximity. Don't forget, we've got good prizes for top 3 teams! You can't win if you don't come and play! It's that simple!! TrentOh, hello again!
