ColdDuck 0 #1 December 10, 2002 Do any of you jump with schtuff when you were learning to fly head down. Like the card board thing from a roll of paper towels. I have heard from some people that this can be useful if you are doing a solo and want to learn how to fly with your legs. If you could pass the object from hand to hand and behind your back. Trying to to stay stable using just your legs and not so much you arms. "Insurance should called In case shit happens, if shit don't happen shouldn't I get my money back?" skygod7777 0 #2 December 10, 2002 i have heard of this, but it seems easier to just clap your hands infront of you, and then reach behind you, and touch them. then if you loose, or drop what ever you brought of, wuffo's what think it's a bomb or something dumb like that. later
AggieDave 6 #3 December 10, 2002 I've passed a pull-up cord around in my hands doing a sit before. I thought that was a fun drill, pass it to the other hand, then behind the back, etc. If you drop it...well, who really cares, its a pull up cord. If a pull-up cord can reach a speed fast enough to do serious damage to anything on the ground, you have more pressing issues to worry about, like, what the hell happened to physics... --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." blueshrew 0 #4 December 10, 2002 I used a pack of kleenex. If that can injure someone, then physics has gone mad.

Levin 0 #6 December 12, 2002 QuoteLike the card board thing from a roll of paper towels. try a nerf noodle. it should hold up and retain it's shape better than a cardboard tube. and it's just as safe in case you drop it. levin vSCR#
lewmonst 0 #7 December 13, 2002 yeah, stuff helps in freeing up your arms, so does clapping... but where are you in your headdown? I'm not that great, but I don't cork. I couldn't have tried to clap or pass objects until i was at least good enough to stay in the column. if you're solid and don't cork, that will help, if you're not quite there yet, maybe a little zoomy still sometimes, you might find an object too much of a distraction. just a thought, like i said though, i'm no expert. i love being upside downhttp://www.exitshot.com
