old rw suit

Recommended Posts

here is my problem i was told to learn rw first so i got a rw suit i made my first 30 jumps rw i'm sick of rw started freeflying when it got warm so i could jump in shorts and a long sleeve shirt the weather is going to start getting cooler and i'll need a freefly suit i already have it picked out but i'm short on cash (isn't everyone) so should i sell my rw suit to pay for the new one or should i hold onto it -just in case?

on my belly turning circles for the whole dive has never apealed to me i got into the sport after seeing a show about skysurfing and i couldn't believe how many flips and twists they could do in 60 seconds and then and there i decided that was for me. unfortunately i lack the experience to skysurf so until i can i will throw myself across the sky in every imaginable position possible

Sell that bad boy!! If you really want to learn how to freefly then you probably wont need the RW suit anytime soon and when you do jump on your belly then just use your freefly suit:)To me freeflying means being able to fly any position any time in whatever I am wearing.

since when do you know what a big way belly dive is??? I thought the only time you are on your belly is pull time:) anyways thats how I am also.. I say dictch the rw suit to get a freefly suit. depending on your weight get one that is custom made maybe not quite as baggy so you can belly dive also..that is if you want to. thats what I did, and well its helping me to learn how to slow fall head down more. I have a freakfly by eg I suggest them fairly nice suits and good price.

i say keep the rw suit just for in case you ever need it. you never know. some day you may get the urge to do rw just for something different. sometimes you may be the only freeflyer at your dz. a few rw dives may be a nice mix with a day of solo jumps. oneday you may find yourself wishing you had a suit with booties for a tracking dive or contest. someday you may decide that you want to get a rating in which case you may find another use for that suit. since i started freeflying i've averaged about 2-3 belly dives a year. i'm glad i still have my suit for those rare occasions. lately i've been thinking about doing more belly dives. i belive i will find my rw suit better suited for fine tuning my movements. and besides your probably not going to get much for used jumpsuit anyway.

When both my boys started skydiving (Skygeek & jking) I bought their first suits. Since I was already freeflying I figured they would to. We got "Hybrid" suits. I had Christina from Merlin Suits build a normal RW suit and put Freefly legs on them. They made great training suits! You can do either in them. Just recently I cut the booties off my camera suit and added freefly legs. (This is an option) and I love the suit!
