skreamer 1 #1 July 25, 2002 Hi people Hope I don't insult anybody with this, but it is just a small thing that could save some pain : When you find yourself above or below a group of freeflyers, get on a level FIRST and then approach the group horizontally. Trying to get straight into the action by diving into or popping up to the group is really not cool. If you are approaching the group at a steep angle and someone else flips out you could both be in serious trouble. I saw a coach in Sweden take a double whammy because two freeflyers were too keen to dock and took him out - as a result he spent the next 2 days on the ground with bad bruising. Hope I didn't offend anybody by bringing up this basic safety measure but it is quite important. Cheers Will

Levin 0 #3 July 25, 2002 i doubt you insulted anybody. diving straight down into a formation is irresposible and shows poor judgement on the part of the diving jumper. it's a good way to get yourself killed and it has killed people in the past. the rw people don't do it. they dive to outside and work there way in. the same rule applies to freeflying even more so due to increase speed and danger. thanks for taking the time to remind everyone. blue skies and safe dives, levin vSCR #17 vSCS #03 gRAT #
