Bonehead or WHAT??

Recommended Posts

I have loved my boneheads. My first mindwarp has historical value as does my 2nd one.
My 2nd one is like the new one but all complete for cheap.
Mine was $530 to put together by Levin.
What is the next comparable helmet for freeflying . Like a Bonehead but not....... ??
Remember I have cameras.

Its gotta be good though. However, there will be sponsor stickers on it. I rather like a plain helmet but I dont mind at all when you think about it.
Invertigo? Maybe, Is what I am thinking now. $403 with an X Jacket.
I will likely sell my 2nd Bonehead, but I havent decided. Nobody would want my 1st Bonehead, my dog Skeet thought it tasted kinda good. You can barely tell but those are his baby teeth marks. :)My 2nd Bonehead is like the Optic they have now. (actually cost couple of dollars more) Optik-$298. & dBox $175 = $473.
But mine was-
Chin Cup $65.00, Top Mount Mindwarp $45.00, dBox TRV Camera $175.00, Mindwarp Pimp Daddy $180. = $465. And it took Levin about 2 or 3 hours to get it perfect and I dont have to use a sight or anything.
Hawkeye Camera Helmet with PC5 box is $331 but I havent seen one, nor on their site can I see what the camera box looks like. I am not too sure about this one, the material or anything else.
The best idea is to jump these next two shots without a helmet at all- and that is what I think I might do. That way nobody will care what kind of helmet I jump. But still.. I heard that the Invertigo company was super nice and easy to work with. And maybe not that shot but the others will show my helmet.
I dont know what I will do with my TRV11 and the PC7. Depends on how the talks go. I believe I can easily keep them. The TRV shoots good clean videos and I love it. But head down - I only now a handful of people who can do it on a regular basis. The PC5 shoots good stuff ....or Levins does.:)I think my main problem now is a helmet with a side mount.

get the optik from bonehead. it's the best helmet (besides my personal 1/2 rak) on the market right now. looks good, very comfortable and it has a flat side and top and internal dytter pockets. and best of all it's a bonehead!!!

Dude, I jumped that 1/2 hemet yesterday its fine. It just has baby Skeet marks in it.
And my head shrunk or something... it was too big. So I gave it away - currently the famous Flygirls sticker is being scraped off I believe. The AirAnn.com went first.... huh....
Besides have you seen Pools helmet, I did from a distance yesterday and I can amost swear I need to see that one closer.

I just got a new Hawkeye and I love it. I have a Bonehead which sounds just like yours with a TRV11. I put a PC-9 on my Hawkeye. I think the padding quality inside is far better than Bonehead. It comes predrilled for an articulated mount so you don't have to guess or be scared to drill. The flat mount on the side has very few snag points. It has two internal Dytter pockets but I fill one up mounting my Cam-Eye (drill a 5/8 hole and it snaps right in place). The chin cup is great and very low profile. Good product, good company to deal with...

from my experience in the past working in the pro-shop at spaceland these helmets fit best on people with wider heads. they are comfortable but a little heavier than most other helmets on the market. the low neck in the back may make them a poor choice for videoing tandems.

Levin is a die hard Bonehead guy, .......Sony guy, ...Firefly, Racer, Lubys, I Hop, No chinese food, no onions or tomatoes...., Liver no onions, Purple ketchup, Crasaunts- sometimes only 1/2, Diet Coke only, and washes his hands all the time...., a certain kind of soap, and excetra.......... he is hard to wake up mostly... and is late often. But he loves Flea and Skeeter...... but he and Skeet tear up toys sooner than Skeet by himself. Kids..... heh...
-You cant talk Levin out of a Bonehead, ever. -
Who you calling a wide head????...... Bonehead has gotten better about the inside, I believe. I looked at a new one on the plane Sat and it looked good.
I dont know about Poole, I thought I saw an X-jacket on there. But I never wear my glasses.....
And I heard some good stuff about the Hawkeye too ... I was going to look at something in the pro shop but I never got around to it.
This is good information on my choices....
