JeanJeanie 0 #1 April 2, 2002 We are doing a poll on how Freefliers would feel about a Full-faced Low-Low Profile helmet that offers full-perpherial vision. We are noticing freeflying becoming more of a contact sport, Flying closer and faster in competition as well as every-day jumping. But, we also understand the issues regarding the full-face helmet on the market today. So, my question is.....Do you think there is a need growing for full-face protection in the freefly market? Thanks for the answers..........jeanjeaniewww.boneheadcomposites.com~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~we borrow the earth from our grandchildren~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

AggieDave 6 #4 April 2, 2002 Yeah, I'll put BoneHead patches on my jumpsuit, stickers on my car & tell everyone to buy a Bonehead, if you wanted to sponser a broke college freeflier with some sort of head gear...Ok, now for the real response:Personally, I'm not much for a full-face helmet, but for colder areas and the winter I can see where it would definately be a bonus. Will the audibles be mounted on the inside or the outside?"Homer Simpson, smiling politely."

IMGR2 0 #6 April 3, 2002 I think a really good full face freefly helmet is a great idea. When I say good, I mean one that is not bulky and doesn't have a tendency to rip your head off in a stand. This might be a good place to spend a little R&D money. Might be a good idea to design this without the idea of a camera in mind. I see alot of the bulk in freefly helmets stemming from mounts and what not. Of course my opinion is if you want to take your freeflying serious, get someone to video you and take the camera off your head. The early bird may get the worm but the Rats always get the cheese. freeflir29 0 #9 April 3, 2002 Never liked full face helmets. I have an Invertigo now and I'll probably keep it until I put a camera on it. Then...I'll probably buy a mindwarp. "I'm a danger to myself and everyone around me!"-Clay
skymama 37 #10 April 3, 2002 I freefly with my RW helmet because I wear glasses when I jump. (I know I can get prescription goggles, but that's not the point here.) But, I kind of like having that extra sense of security that wearing a full-face gives me, especially after knowing a guy who got his nose broken in a freefly collision last year. So, yes, I'd buy a full-face freefly helmet.AndreaThe brave may not live forever, but the timid may not live at all.

flyingferret 0 #12 April 3, 2002 Well, I probably would not be interested, but I think it is a good idea. I like the feel of the wind. But, I just bought a BatRak from Jeanie, and after getting it. I would buy any helmet maybe by Bonehead. Period.malachi
