April 5-7 FlyFree Fest @ Spaceland

Recommended Posts

This should be a cool event. Max Cohn will be in the house coaching (at discounted rates) and organizing some sick freefly and hybrid dives for all skill levels. There's going to be a mini competition (scrambles) and a bunch of great people. Come out and fly with us!

The Freefly event at Spaceland will be a blast. There will be world-class organizing by Max Cohn and Jack Berke. There will be seminars, events, prizes and lots of fun. We want to do some large Hybrid Dives at the end of each day. Bring your ideas. Check www.skydive spaceland.com for details or e-mail me, aerialmisfit@hotmail.com. Lets start the Freefly movement at Spaceland April, 5,6,7. I will be there, will you?

There have been so many combinations of 3 to 4 ways docked it would be hard to guess. At what time the most 'real' DZcom members launched a FF exit just at Spaceland. shit yesterday me Levin, Slappie, Nacmacfeagle did a 4 way. (course only three were docked at exit and an entirely different 3 stayed with the Base..>:( Slappie!:D.
I would think it would be fairly easy to make a 6 way headdown all with local people (gravity Rats and Spaceland people).
Maybe more

sounds like fun. how bout saturday. wanna make it a hybrid tube dive. i'll wear one if you wear 4. whaddya think. 1 in each hand and 1 on each foot. i've been wanting to do a multiple tube for a while. hell, i'd just like to see one in the air without having to look down. or i guess that would be up. ;0)

Look me up at WFFC. I did'nt get to jump with you last Summerfest, but due to work WFFC is it for me this summer...
With what I've got in parts right now its a weighted Sit tube, should work as a great WDI if dropped after openign the canopy.... I'm debating making a foot hook up for it...
Cause I don't wanna come back down from this cloud... ~ Bush

4 toobs hangin off a belly flyer? Sounds pretty but lets do the risk assessment on that one......I'll get back to you
If the sun shines on saturday, I'll be down in the afternoon, I got some work shit to deal with.
Eeezee was talkin bout a hybrid dive with a rodeo in the middle, I've done a couple of rodeos before, but never in amongst freefliers, should be fun.......Guess I'll be "silver" someone like yourself, Zak, or Stevie would be the Lone ranger, I'm not shapeist, but you know what I mean.;)

vRW record would be a cinch to do anyday at Spaceland.
IMHO
however, my .01 cents worth...
I question the rules (whatever they are, Tx or Calif ) for a vRW jump record.
have one just be- Largest Campfire.
That would be your safest dive.
Last year in March, we did a 13 way campfire at sunset. Put together by Misfit in about 30 minutes... on that particular day we did have a few San Marcus FFers in town, but we have the numbers of FFers here now. (the dive happend to be my 100th)
... since then the amount of freeflyers in Houston has easily tripled and shows no sign of slowing down -ever.

So what's with the freefly record that Dallas is supposedly having this summer? Sounds like we will have enough solid fliers to make a Texas freefly record attempt in April. Why shouldn't we give Dallas a run for the money on this one. Besides, what is the record in Texas? I'll bet we could do it.
