Goggles really annoy me

Has there ever been a nice goggle/ full face helmet combo so that you can take the googles off easily under canopy?
A strap that fits around the outside of the helmet that holds like ski googles would be cool.
Am I dreaming a fools dream?

or you can dive without goggles, it stings when youre putting your head out to spot, but once youre out its ok. Note this is just me, maybe others eyes are more sensitive...?

Apparently there is one guy at my DZ who has been jumping without googles for 20 years.
Not sure myself though.

Man that just seems like it's asking for trouble, maybe on hop n pops but have you gone through a cloud with ice crystals? having one of those enter your eye at 120 mph probably isn't the best thing to have happen

That is what I want to do in the long term DG as I have seen others do this. At the moment I wear a Gath and its relalively easy to pull googles down to my chin but if and when I get a faster canopy I want to get a stronger helmet with some kind of chin protection.

simply get a full face then and pop the visor up as soon as your under canopy.

Yeah i know but heaps of people tell me they get problems with the closing mech. And I don't want to find out the hard way. ie $500 later.

The DZ I go to recently solved that problem quite simply, and cheaply.

They've added a snap to the temple area of each student Pro Tec - and corresponding snaps on cut, shortened goggle straps. 1 snap keeps them handy, and unfogged until "DOOR", then - simply snap the other side for exit and freefall.

Once under canopy, you can pop one of the snaps loose again and enjoy the breeze, without loosing your goggles. Pretty clever bunch, up there in Hazleton, PA.

I don't like goggles either.

Thus, I have a couple pair of Gatorz sunglasses that I use, they work great.
