Blahr 0 #1 July 31, 2003 Howdy all, I just found out that the my Javelin harness needs some work referencing Service Bulletin SPSB: 03032000 - Revision B I purchased this rig used a couple months ago and the seller did not inform me of this problem Anyway, since I was dumb enough to be taken in, I'm stuck with it. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/archive/gear/download.cgi?d=1021240270 BACKGROUND: Small diameter main canopy suspension lines (similar to Microline 550 and Vectran 500) can get caught around the grommet in the main Closing Loop Retainer and could result in a serious horseshoe malfunction with a suspension or steering line caught in the container after deployment. Can anyone tell me the average cost of repairing this defect?
EricTheRed 0 #2 July 31, 2003 I think I paid $5 USD for the repairwhen I had my rig repacked and a new BOC put on. It shouldn't be too much it's a fairly minor fix. ETRillegible usually
AndyMan 7 #3 July 31, 2003 I'd be very surprised if your gear hasn't had that done already... That service bulletin is over 3 years old, and was manditory. Check with your rigger to be sure. I think I paid $5 to have mine done at the next repack, if I remember correctly... _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
betzilla 56 #4 July 31, 2003 It's $25 at the loft here. But you're worth it
