bridle dump?

Recommended Posts

I have recently read about people's PCs half hitching over themselves, tying knots, etc. At first I was puzzled at this, and could not figure out how a PC could knot itself if not trapped very badly in the burble. But yet people still talk about knots in the bridle with no PC hesitation.

Could the reason for this be what I titled my post, "bridle dump"? When finishing to fold the PC and still having greater than 12+ inches of bridle that one has to basically s fold very neatly and push into the BOC along with the folded PC containing the bulk of the s folded bridle. When deploying the PC you would pull it out as normal, but also pull out 12+ inches of slack bridle. All the PC would have to do is oscillate around the slack bridle and bingo a knot. Bridle dump. If I remember correctly people were saying for the most part the knot was close to the PC, this would support my theory. Ahh, ok, what do you think? I always try to be very careful stowing the PC. Would the best way to stow the PC be leaving no "extra" bridle after folding it, i.e. just enough to route it down the container, into the BOC, and to the base of the folded PC. Is that understandable?
